Well, so it has. I wouldn't expect any tearing up of contracts to happen though - the only reason the Fev deal happened was because it was close enough to trade week to facilitate a trade out of (and a pretty darn good one for Carlton). Plus it's the kind of 'big' move the Blues officials can dine out on for ages in terms of credibility, not that it's fooled anyone. It'll probably just swing the pendulum in their favour when it come to these negotations with sponsors though without having to sack any of the four to get involved in incidents this weekend gone by.

To be honest I'm not sure if Carlton would even be worse off with Houlihan and Walker off their list..

Houlihan was playing really well towards the end of the year and will be vital up front next year. Walker's been a disappointment since coming back from injury.

I thought Houlihan was better in the first half of the year, he seemed to go missing far too often towards the end of it. I might be wrong but he doesn't seem like much more than a good undersized mark.
