Don't reckon North Melbourne will go well next year, but they'll start to head in the right direction. Think that Scott has been given the chance to go one step back for two steps forward, which other coaches have been either unwilling to do, or too afraid to do.
Earlier this year I had grave fears for North thinking that they were bottoming out at the wrong time, but I've done an about-face on that one. I actually think they've done pretty well at the arse end of the draft the last few years those they've picked are starting to mature quite well.

Think the AFL is being a bit michievious by suggesting they'll have to cancel their season if we win the World Cup, but I swear, if that happens, I'll blow up the WC final! :@ Bloody soccer! Already sucks valuable column inches and air time from sports that don't suck.

More a dig at Demetriou's 'Expansion Vision' than the Bulldogs fwiw. I'd like them to change their name back to Footscray.

Pfft, you think Demetriou will let the lack of dry land and non-deserted permanent settlements deter him from his determination to position the AFL in the growth markets it needs to move into to survive?

If he has his way, the game will have changed so much to appeal to the parents of budding young amphibians.

He and his pack of ****wits are the worst things to ever happen to the game of Aussie Rules.

Once KB gets his contentious "contesting a mark = free kick" rule up, we'll finally have the perfect game...

Reckon he'll bring back the rule that you're allowed to take a bounce just before you are tackled, and its still holding the man. Then he'll make a comeback...

Good to see the AFL faithful share the opinion of the humble Western Sydney AFL layman

Tbh, given the choice of living on a submerged Samoa or in Western Sydney, I'd be looking for a coin to toss or a gun to put to my own head.

I think will make the finals, the rest I'm not so sure about. Tipping the Dees to win 8 games this year and Port to be a joke again.

Footy Flashbacks on Seven 2 have been awesome latley, had forgotten how good Peter Matera actually was, caught the game vs Carlton in 95 a few days a go and WOW. Also had us vs Geelong from 95, vs Melb in 01 and the 1979 GF all over the past week or so. Getting me through the off-season (had our whole 09 season recorded, but can't watch now, the Fev pain is still too strong).
