Well the group of Barcelona, Inter, Rubin Kazan, Dinamo Liev really going to the wire, any of four teams can still make it, and any of the four can still not make it. But then when you have Barcelona who are the current La Liga champions, Inter win Serie A (and go missing in the UCL) for fun, Rubin have just won the Russian league for a second season in a row, and Kiev smashed Shakhtar Donetsk 3-0 and are also the current Ukrainian champions, is it not surprising? It would of been interesting how Arsenal for instance would of gone in this group, or another team. Probably the toughest group of them all.

I'm not surprised Inter would lose at the Nou Camp.

Arsenals record in eastern Europe is terrible, so I'd imagine they'd be struggling. Wouldn't bet against them against the two big teams in there though, usually tend to go ok against those sorts of sides.

I have to say though, Chelsea are looking good in both the Premiership and the Champions League, could win both. Although Manchester United will always find away to win the Premiership, like they always seem to.

BBC Sport - Football - Arsenal's Kieran Gibbs suffers broken metatarsal injury

Oh for god's sake. Pretty annoying news, as now Traore is going to have to play against Chelsea at the weekend and for the next few months. At least Denilson and Walcott got some game time and so add a bit of extra depth to the squad now, but lack of cover in defence is now looking a bit dodgy. I think if I was Wenger I would be very tempted to get Sagna or Eboue to fill in as a makeshift leftback against Chelsea, because I really don't like the idea of Traore trying to combat Chelsea's forward line. Not tha I much like the idea of Eboue either, but worryingly I would feel more comfortable with him in the team on this occasion. Hope Gallas has recovered as well, as Silvestre being used as the main buffer against Drogba will only end horribly.

You are forgeting Liverpool's wonderfull run to the Europa cup final!
Annoyingly them being knocked out of the Champions League means that they can focus almost entirely on the Premiership, which hopefully won't see a reversal of their fortunes.

I am fairly sure they will make the top 4 to be honest, unless Torres and Gerrard are ruled out for long periods. They normally put a string of results together at some point, would have thought one of the challengers would have to be quite far ahead by now, Totenham maybe the best bet given Man city's recent form but still think Liverpool will come out on top.

Yeah I think it is a safe enough bet as well, though I would enjoy being proved wrong. I imagine a decline in form is not too far away for Spurs, which will see them go back to their usual 6th-10th place finish at the end of the year. Man City, probably something similar though I wouldn't close the door on them just yet. Would be great if Everton could get a win against Liverpool at the weekend though, or even hold them to a draw, if Arsenal, Spurs and City all win then that will make things very interesting.

Paul Scholes best midfielder Prem has ever had. Henry has to be in there as well and Ashley Cole also as well as Shearer and Gary Neville. Any teams without are rubbish.

I think one of Spurs or City will place higher than Arsenal this season tbh.
Not a hope in hell. Would love it though if one of those sorts of teams actually didn't drop a shedload of points at the end of the season and shoved Duffer Benitez' men down to 5th/6th. Might finally get the sack then.

Wenger blasted: "For f***'s sake the World Cup is in June. Is he on holiday until June 11?

"You cannot be serious. For me, the big season is with Arsenal, not at the World Cup.

"We do not pay players to go to the World Cup, we pay the players to do well for Arsenal.

"The first pride of a man is to do well for the guy who pays you in life, not to go to the World Cup."

"Listen, a guy who has a poor season has a poor World Cup. A guy who wins with his club goes to the World Cup and has a good chance to win.

"Because the players are not afraid of you if you do f*** all the whole season.

"You have no respect from the manager if you don't do anything at your club.

Heh. Heh. Heh. Indeed.
Who was the player in question?
