And to think a few short months ago, people were criticising the standard of the Eng vs Oz ODIs and claiming that SA would've beaten either 6-1 or so

How times have changed

You can come out and say 'best' dav, don't be afraid!

Never saw it, but what a convincing victory. Bowling obviously needs to improve, but with Broad & Swann to return I think this is a bloody decent ODI side

"I like to invite the winning captain, Andrew Strauss, to accept a cheque for 15 000 rand"

Well done CSA, Im sure a 100 pound winning bonus for each player really excites them

The safa portion of the team would find that enough. After all they dont care about country and are in it for the money. :P

wow this english team is pretty good. id say they are the 3rd or 4th best in the world atm after sa and aus. nz and eng are pretty much at the same level if u ask me.

Don't get carried away. England have always had the ability to spring the odd surprise in ODI cricket. And a ruthless and efficient performance today certainly falls into the category of "surprise".

Yeah expect normal service to resume next friday...hopefully though if Swann and Broad are back we won't get smashed by that much.

Strauss
Trott
KP
Collie
Morgan
Prior
Wright
Broad
Swann
Bresnan
Anderson

probably the best side we can hope for on Friday. Will look so much better if we could replace Prior and call on Fred

Considering they've won their last six matches against the Saffas, it's a bit of an extended break from "normal service."

cant believe the negativity of the english fans. they have a very good batting side now and they did have a pretty successful CT. i think the english batting is as classy as any other side. they just need to pick better bowlers. i certainly rate them alongside nz above india at no4.

Nah, NZ are clearly a stronger ODI side than England & have been for a good few years now.

That's why in the last 20 ODI's played between the 2 teams, NZ have won 13, England just 4 with 3 no results/ties/aband. Now that's a massacre in anybody's language.

AWTA. I'm afraid negativity = realism when it comes to being an England supporter in limited overs cricket. Beating the Saffers a few times in a row is a blip.
