Waaaaay overrated for mine. Drops far too many catches. Not even in the same league as De Villiers or Symonds.
AB and Ponting are the two amazing fielders that come to mind of current players, but I'd put Collingwood in the bracket under that quite happily.

Can't help but think they are taking the praise of Bresnan a little bit far, I am probably biased against him by the fact that he is described as an 'honest' cricketer, anyone described as such lacks the talent for international cricket.
"Honest" A word that's used to describe every single New Zealand cricketer when on tour, I would hope we have a few better player's then the likes of Bresnan.

Think we can stop using KP's Achilles as an excuse for his weakness to the very full ball now.

Yeah it is just a meaningless phrase really and one which I would have thought is fairly a unrepresenative of the currrent New Zealand side (I have yet to hear anyone call Jesse Ryder and honest cricketer though)

Yeah, but people just call Bresnan "honest" because when he bowls he looks like a chubby little Yorkshireman trying to get away from an angry sheep. It's all aesthetics. If he looked like the Fonz everyone would accuse him of being a mercurial lazy guy who isn't really trying half the time.

He bowls 85mph with decent enough accuracy and swings it, and he can hold a bat. Truth is, he's a reasonably good prospect for England.
Largely agree with the first part of this but behind the way he looks I really cannot see him a long term success, certainly not at test level.

A batsman getting an official warning for timewasting? I don't remember ever seeing that before.
No, nor me. Can't really see what we stand to gain from it either.

Don't wanna jinx Trotty (nice 50, btw), but when you see how at ease he looks rotating the strike and manufacturing strokes it really does beggar belief he's had to wait so long for a go.

Bowling a bonus too.

Well Cricinfo say he's starting to cramp and obviously he wouldn't fancy his chances of getting a runner.

Not to mention almost 5,000 List A runs @ 43.8.
