City too now, it seems. Chesea? Funny. United? Annoying. City? Okay, now it's just getting to be a bit silly. Apparently only happens with transfers from France to England.

My favourite quote so far though: "Manchester City must now realise the consequences of their attitude in the Helan case as it is even more illegal than Kakuta." ~Droessi.

Even more illegal?

I'm sure Chelsea will be interested in using the quote to their advantage... "It wasn't quite so illegal, you see..."

I feel the underlying factor to all of this is Platini's plot to cripple the Premiership, due to clear dislike for ENG.

Difference is this isn't some Ligue 2 French side but Crewe.

I thought Crewe and Liverpool had a connection regarding players, whereby Crewe would pick up quite a few young Anfield players on loan over a season. Apparently it didn't work the same the other way.

Yeah they do, they have some sort of working agreement, which will probably mean that proving any malpractice will be incredibly difficult. However, for mine, this seems a bit dodgy, how convenient that all of these clubs are now crawling out of the woodwork crying foul play after seeing their players leave for years on end. Will be interesting it see how long it is before Arsenal get reported by someone, which they inevitably will, if what we have seen so far is any sort of precedent.

Got Fabregas, Djourou, Merida, Barazite, Mannone and Vela all picked up before they were 18 from various places.
Plus there's Aliadiere who was picked up aged 15 apparently.

Surely someone somewhere will pipe up.

What's odd to me at the moment is that it's exclusively English clubs being singled out for this, when i'm certain foreign clubs have done exactly the same thing.

English media report on English clubs.

But yes, Le Havre probably picked these chaps up from a club in Africa. Witness Mikel and Lyn.
