You can see that Mr Barnes appointment has been an unprecedented success in the circles I move in

Can't imagine why

David Lee whining at the end, brought back 15-year old feelings of resentment

Fair enough. I imagine that puts you in the minority tho. Few things more irksome to the average supporter than seeing your team beaten by some grubby little bit of cheating. If you don't see a problem I'm not going to convince you, am I?

& as for players hating having to run 80 yards: HTFU. Midfielders get through about seven miles in the average game.
Out of interest, how reliable is the GPS technology used? It seems pretty hard to believe that it is accurate, but if it is, fair enough.

Least the club that has trained Mikel for instance got some money for losing him, whereas you can't pay a transfer fee for kids under a certain age as i understand the rules.
Or they get around it by offering to get the kid's father a job somewhere so they family will move there and join the club's youth programs. That's what happened with Leo Messi IIRC.

Just a question, how true were the claims by Arsene Wenger that he was interested in signing Inter striker Mario Balotelli (who is only 19)? He is in the Italian u21 team and the potential to go into the seniot ream, but just won't get too much starting time behind Eto'o and Milito (although we lose Eto'o to the ACON). Wenger more or less he would turn Balotelli into a 'great player' if he came to Arsenal. He is 189cm and 88kg and is parents are from Ghana (even though he was born in Palermo), so I'm not sure if he fits into criteria (apart from his links back to Africa).

That's the first I've heard of it, though I wouldn't be surprised if it came true mind. Would be surprised if Inter let him go particularly easily though, despite their strong forward line I gather the lad is held in high regard by the coaching team there, and is marked as one for the future.

He ticks a lot of the right boxes. Mourinho selling one of his best young players to Wenger might not be too likely though. Would love to have him, probably even more so than a guy like Chamakh, he has a fair bit more upside to his game.

Well we seem to be accumulating horrible ****s so another one won't hurt.

In other news, Djourou is done for 6 months. Just one injury away from Silvestre and now just two injuries away from a pairing of Silvestre and Senderos. Jesus wept.

Is that Adebayor? If so I'd say it's ironic that for once people are walking all over him, rather than the other way around.
