Durham destroying another side, winning this championship all too easily.

Lumb and Vince reaching there normal maximum scores on 41 and 26, both should be due to get out any moment. Vince has a lot of promise though so hope he goes on.

Hants actually going on from a good start, Lumb on 95 and Dawson in the 40's. Fear it must be a flat pitch though

Chris Schofield 87* overnight - never really rated him as a player but he was treated badly by Lancs and has done well to get to where he is - hoping he gets to his first f-c ton tomorrow just about the same time as the third Australian wicket falls

Pretty poor innings from Shah given it wasn't that far off a T20 situation when he batted. Would think Middlesex are still big favourites mind.

Always nice to see Chris Nash score runs, not least because Richard mocked the idea of him opening last season (ftr, Nash opened in his next innings and duly scored a ton).

Anyhow 156 today, nearly 1,000 Championship runs this season at an average of just over 60. The guy is a fine player and at last he's delivering the runs that he's capable of.

Sussex in a strong position against Somerset. The big question now is whether we can somehow get 20 wickets with a bowling attack that is now well past its sell-by date.

Nice to see Claydon getting a game, very talented bowler. England should look at him.
Really? Every time i've seen him play before he's been absolute turd.

Anyway, went to the roses game today. Not the most entertaining cricket, but probably lucky to be where we are after the start we got. Properly sunburnt.

Rashid's bowled tidily, but both wickets were absolutely atrocious shots, Loye's especially, Laxman tried to smash him over the top and didn't get anywhere

I like him. Very rare to come across a bowler in county cricket with genuine pace and he generates serious bounce. I've only seen him in the 20/20's but he was very good there.
International batsman probably won't be troubled as county cricketers with the pace but there is definitely something about him.

In fact it must have been shortly after England lost their first, but he got there - 115 not out now.

Seems to be quite a bit of rain around, not many matches in progress atm.

Murray Goodwin certainly seems to have (belatedly) found his form though. He's increased his season's tally by 50% in one innings.
