Key lost the game in the first over by bowling Amjad Khan. In the Q/F, Parnell opened the bowling and took out Mustard and Warner immediately but for some reason, Mickey Mouse no accuracy Khan was favoured.

Tres looks imperious though. Wow.

As I said earlier, these T20 finals so often have a dire pitch. That's part of the problem. On a proper pitch Sussex' anti-cricket bowling attack wouldn't be anywhere near as effective.

Craig Kieswetter is quickly establishing himself as my favourite player outside of Lancashire. What a star.

Nipping over to the dark side on Wednesday for the first day of the roses game, we had a decent day the other week when i went but couldn't force the win in the end. Hopefully a win this time, wonder if we will have any seamers fit.

Somerset would have been looking at chasing 200+ if Smith stayed, what an innings. Still can offer England something. Better limited overs cricketer than Luke Wright, who failed to deliver once again opening.

Interesting knock from young Kieswetter, looked clueless against the spin. Didn't help that Athers compared him to Gilly either.

Sky boys start bigging up young Will Beer, Trego then hits him 100 metres and it goes all quiet...

Another mismatch final. Been a poor finals day.

Anyone know which bright spark decided to put the finals day on the opening day of the Premiership? Hardly no mention of the cricket in todays news / papers.

Well let's be honest T20 cricket is a poor game, as demonstrated by the fact that in scaly's memorable and accurate expression an "anti-cricket" attack can win a trophy. That said, it's nice to win. Good performance by the Skarks, especially Dwayne Smith and Will Beer.

I should mention that Hamilton-Brown's dismissal in the final, supposedly lbw, is maybe the worst umpiring decision I have ever seen. Not Richard Illingworth's finest moment.

Yea thought that was rather dumb. Maybe if had been earlier in the year the pitch would have been fit for 20 over cricket.
