Well I have a few comments:

1) The only Aussie bowler who seems to remember that the ideal length to tail enders is half way down the pitch is Nathan Hauritz.

2) Apparently to get a player LBW you need to dislodge the bails.

3) I don't think I've seen worse bowling to tail enders by an Australian lineup ever.

Not even close. Monty's not that bad IMO. Obviously still ****, but not Martin-bad.
Yeah. I know, I know. But he is comparably unco. He wanders around in a daze like he's mildly ********. Like he went to wander off when Swann was caught off that no-ball. I mean, he's standing next to the guy who just shouted NO BALL.

WAKE UP!

Bowled some absolute trash to Steyn over the summer.

Oooooo.......... harsh no-ball call there. Don't know the rule exact when the whole foot isn't grounded, any insight?

EDIT: Who cares?
Rule is that the front foot can be elevated, doesn't have to be grounded behind the line, but if a line was drawn between the foot and the pitch, it would have to be behind the line. If that makes sense.

Funny about Hauritz, Greg Matthews said last night he needs to stop bowling no balls because he doesn't get enough wickets to take the chance of getting one off a no ball. Sure enough....

Missed most of the session because of work, but suprised Hilfenhaus didn't get first crack this morning. Definitly advantage England now, anyway.

That morning was just about the worst possible scenario for Australia IMO. Wouldn't have been as bad if they scored the runs slowly, but doing it so quickly has caused a huge momentum shift to the hosts.

Yeah, but I actually think when he's playing straight off the seamers he has a pretty tight technique.

Flicks 4s off his pads allright as well.

He does look like dumbarse though.

Excellent morning session so far for England, take a couple into lunch with us and happy days!
That's exactly how our lower order should bat when they are not batting alongside a set specialist batsman (and in some cases they should be ultra positive regardless). Swann hit the ball beautifully, and even Jimmy played a few decent attacking strokes but without any great timing.

Aussies seemed to lack any real plans to the tail, finally opting around the wicket to Jimmy with a leg-gully in, a ploy that may have been better served right away due to his lack of ability in playing the shorter, quicker stuff, with the odd carrot thrown outside off for the nick.

Plans were made for the top order, but if you just bowl and expect to run through England's tail, such are the players down there, they may make you pay.
