Murray has a 6-1 career record against Roddick (discounting the latter's walkover at Queens last year) and beat him in straight sets here way back in 2006, so about as confident as I can be with any British sports person/team.

Mind you, has a 6-2 record against Fed and far less confident there.
He'll give Fed a better game than Roddick. Roddick's just Federer's bunny.

That Hewitt/Roddick tiebreak was the best tiebreak I've seen since Rafter/Sampras first set of the Wimbledon final in 2000. It was a great match. Such a shame I fell asleep at the start of the 3rd set.

if both play near the top of their game, it should be federer vs murray in the final...good run by tommy but not sure if his plan to "annoy" federer will work against what looks like a very relaxed and at-peace player...
I hope he doesn't go away from what worked against Djokovic, if he serves volleys most of the time he could be a bit more than an annoyance. There aren't many players around now that play that game so it will be interesting.

Fed's game last night was insane. Just artillery shells going off everywhere in that match.

If you werre playing Ivo, you'd just have to have a giggle as they whistle past you. Otherwise you'd be driven nuts by it.

Interesting stat was in all their previous meetings, Ivo had broken Fed's serve once, despite taking a few sets off him.

Seemed pretty obvious that Fed considered him a real threat though - Rog was really very clinical about it all.

Agree. That was Federer circa 2003.

Interesting stats about Haas, if he somehow beats Federer tomorrow he'll break the record for most grand slam events played before making a final.

Interesting to note that the women's singles and doubles are down to the top four seeds. Would be interesting to know how long it has been since that's happened.

Dementieva takes the first set in a tie-break.

However Williams breaks her serve in the first game of the 2nd.

So sick of Channel 9. :@:@
They start coverage of Williams/Dementieva from the beginning of the match, despite it being halfway through the second in real time, and they haven't even allowed Fox Sports to televise any of the semis.

Once again, **** you channel 9.

Should have just cut into the start of the second set FFS.

Anyway, 3 break points for Dementieva now! I got on her and Safina at $5 each before the match, so for once I'll be cheering against Serena (and Venus too).

Serena takes the 2nd.

Dementieva had countless chances to break at 5-6. Will be interesting to see those points in one hour's time on C9

Serena wins 8-6 in the third! What a champion!

Would love to know how many matches she's won in her career saving match points. Does it so often.

Dementieva saved a virtual match point too, though.

But yeah, fab match. Shame Safina imploded.
