Yeah that's what he was saying.

I don't think the commentators were promoting Hewitt/Roddick for its potential quality though. Generally the commentators are pro-Hewitt, and whatever that's fine. I'm sure British commentators do it with Murray and used to with Henman, American commentators with Roddick, Spanish commentators with Rafa etc. But it hasn't been this bad since the 2004 US Open IMO. Perhaps the 2005 Aust Open too.

I'm an Aussie and can't stand Hewitt but for a relatively old, injury-stuffed guy, he's playing out of his skin and Roddick is belting the cover off it in return

Just hope that either of these guys have enough in the tank to hammer Murray as this game is well above the snooze-fest he played vs Ferrero

Be interesting what happens about the umpire or the line judge in this game. Umpire told Roddick the line judge was a liar..wonder what the replay shows if possible

Reckon Murray might prefer to play Roddick, he's his pigeon and he reads his serve well, plus he'll just pump the ball to his backhand all day. Was amazed to see Hewitt and Murray have only played each other once before.

IMO would be a big shock if Murray didn't get through to the final (will be an even bigger shock if Fed doesn't take it out). Probably the best chance would be for Leyton to play him under the roof, not sure what the weather forecast is.

Roddick is very one-paced (flat out from the base line) so that might suit Murray more than a Hewitt who would've given him far more variety

Havent been very impressed with Murray as he appears to be a human back-board more than a stroke maker but that could be enough to see off Roddick who tends to get frustrated when the ball keeps coming back

Not surprised that Hewitt and Murray havent played more as Murray's rise to prominence has coincided with Hewitt's decline/long injury layoffs

Hewitt doesn't have that much more variety imo (think it was Roddick who came up with the craziest dropshot of the day - a cross court backhand which just stopped - and the long rallies often ended in Hewitt hitting at Roddick's body, not making him run at all), but he does have a better return, which could have been useful with Murray's serves being rather slow.

On the women's side, Dementyeva has lost 19 games in 10 sets and goes in as a 7/2 outsider. Possibly some kind of a record.

Murray has a 6-1 career record against Roddick (discounting the latter's walkover at Queens last year) and beat him in straight sets here way back in 2006, so about as confident as I can be with any British sports person/team.

Mind you, has a 6-2 record against Fed and far less confident there.

Didn't read the article, but in the earlier rounds it was clear the court selection was based on looks alone.There's no reason to put Kirilenko and Dulko on Centre Court other than their looks though.

well none of those "beauties" are remaining so the organizers have to make do with the "ugly" players for the rest of the tournament...really, that this can happen at wimbledon is just another example of why it's difficult to take women's tennis seriously...
