Will be pissed off if Durham can't dislodge the Irish pair and enforce the follow-on first thing tomorrow. Would be very encouraging if they could pull off a win.

Also Harmison bowled brilliantly according to the Cricinfo report.

Harmison in a Durham shirt isn't the same as Harmison in an England one.

"But on flat, slow wickets, you have to do something different and my variation is being aggressive and bowling bouncers.

Is this something new? I can't remember him being aggressive on flat wickets, only on quick bouncy ones. :)

To be honest I think any of them would be a better shot at number 3 than Freddie. If Tom Smith can open the innings, then surely one of those three specialists can go in at 3.
Yes they may go better than Flintoff at 3 but those three are better in the other positions. Currently it doesn't seem to make a difference where Flintoff bats, he'll score **** all.

Harmison in any shirt is the same, it is whether he's in rhythm or not that makes the key difference.

Test match batsmen are much less likely to get out to that sort of bowling on a flat & slow wicket, even Indian batsmen can play the short ball if it's a dead wicket.

Warwickshire following-on btw, Onions took out Rankin and now has Frost out for 3.

As I said earlier would be a great game to win.

Sussex need 127 to win with 4 wickets remaining. An abnormally long tail, with everyone having scored a first class 100 and Dwayne Smith listed to go in at number 11. They failed in the first innings but have a chance to redeem themselves this time round.

His blob in the first knock notwithstanding Sussex must be confident if they can hold the talismanic Pushy back until number 10

That's not going to happen - RMJ is going out at number 10 so last week's centurion is at number 11.

Big wicket by Cooky aswell! Joe Denly when he was well set, hoping Essex can push on through the rest of the line-up now.

Tbf, du Plessis can't do much worse at 3 either. It continues to surprise me how poor his CC form is, 11 innings now and only 192 runs to show for it, averaging below 20. Quite simply nowhere near good enough stats.

Worcestershires disaster of a season continues. To allow Yorkshire to get to over 500 is just shocking. Hoggard got a 50 for god sake! :@

Any day now im expecting them to make my season complete and annouce Davies has signed for Surrey :@:@

Am I right in thinking Davies moving on is a distinct possibilty ? Read something the other day suggesting he is keeping his options open. Would be a big blow for Worcester, as if they need another one after the terible news of poor old Simon Jones.

300 partnership up for Leicestershire's Kolpaks - the game has gone I think. Obviously losing the equivalent of two sessions on Wednesday didn't help but this is one we've let slip away.

Certainly a very good learning process for Dernbach, Jordan, and Meaker. A tough assignment bowling at Dippenaar and Ackerman, once set.

Yeah, was thinking just the same myself. Disappointed that Murtaza and Schofield couldn't do more on a fourth day pitch though. And Afzaal hasn't even been tried.

On a very, very small point - the commentator on Radio London keeps pronouncing Dippenaar's first name as 'boater' - but shouldn't it be 'booter?' (or maybe 'boarta'). I thought the 'oe' sound in Afrikaans was pronounced as in 'shoe.' Perhaps one of our Dutch, or South African, friends can clarify.

Anyway, Dippenaar gone for 143 now. Afzaal takes his wicket with a full toss.

:( Heroic effort from Pushy though. Deserves to bat way higher than No.11. Joke really that a guy who averages over 27 in FC is batting at No. 11.
