• Second seed Juan Moreno has claimed his first career title by ending the blistering run of form from Colombia's Diego Hurtado in stunning style in the final of the Allianz Suisse Open Gstaad. The French Open semifinalist stayed in touching distance of the top five by shaking off his recent mediocre form by making it throughout the week without losing a set. Hurtado looked on fire early as a searing forehand helped him to 2-2 in the first, before the Argentine grinded his way to a break of service by attacking the eighth seed's backhand. It was even easier for him in the second as he jumped out to a 5-1 lead and went on to secure a comfortable title win.

• Romanian duo Viorel Iftime and Marius Micu have claimed their maiden career title to keep their World Finals hopes alive with a straight sets win over Benjamin Hartmann and Mischa Pasveer. The unseeded duo were tested by the Dutch-Swiss pairing, but made the most of their four break points to secure a victory inside two hours. (Iftime / Micu d. Hartmann / Pasveer, 6-4, 7-6(2))

• Croatia's Miroslav Brdar has claimed his second title of the season in his home country, and this time did it in crushing style in a hour-long procession against Ukrainian top seed Illya Altman. Where in Zagreb he beat Danijel Micic in a three-hour slog, here Brdar took just 67 minutes to smash the world number nine and to return to the world's top ten. There were ominous signs for Altman as Brdar broke early in the first set en route to a 6-2 win, but there were few who would expect the dogged top seed to fail in his bid to win a game in the second set as the local second seed cruised to a crushing victory. (Brdar d. Altman, 6-2, 6-0)

• In an entertaining doubles final, top seeds Mark Harmel and Yves Parmentier came from a set down to upset Hungarian brothers Janos and Zoltan Varga. In a two-and-a-half hour long war, the Varga Brothers looked good as they took the first set following a string for five breaks of service between the two sides. But the Belgians came back strongly in the second set to send the match to a deciding tiebreaker - the top seeds fighting right to the end to secure the tightest of wins. (Harmel / Parmentier d. J Varga / Z Varga, 5-7, 6-4, [10-8])

• Czech top seed Radek Spidla has capitalised on his rampant form by hoisting the Countrywide Classic title with a hard-fought win against new World No. 11 Rasmus Olesen of Denmark. Spidla benefitted from a tight second set in his semifinal against Zhijun Sun and came out looking determined against the Dane in a confident opening set. Whilst Olesen played a better second set, he failed to produce chances on the Spidla service and was eventually broken by the Czech big man who claimed his second title of the season. (Spidla d. Olesen, 6-3, 6-4)

• Seeded players out: Rasmus Olesen.

• In the doubles final, makeshift American-Swedish pair Jason Bradley and Bjorn Donaldson have claimed a straight sets victory over Asian team Lee Inmin and Qingdong Tsai and a healthy US$79,000 payday between them. The duo took early breaks of service in both sets to hamstring the Korean-Taipei team before they could get started, and with four breaks of service proved too good. (Bradley / Donaldson d. Lee / Qingdong, 6-4, 6-4)

• CWLand's Scotland Rivers has fallen just short of a maiden career title at the Challenger in Vancouver after a straight sets loss to Austrian Martin Reiter. Rivers managed to break Reiter's service on three occasions from eight opportunities, but his opponent was able to produce a one hundred per cent strike rate on his chances as he broke five times from five attempts. The World No. 170's game was more consistent than that of Rivers as he edged a straight sets win. Meanwhile, Rivers' finals appearance sees him shoot up to World No. 146. (Reiter d. Rivers, 6-4, 6-4)

• Seeded players out: None.

• Second seeds Mikel Fosdike and Sebastien Gagnon have eventually taken the doubles title despite a frustrating second set against India's Sunil Colaco and Aussie David Jones. The French-Canadian connection dropped the second 2-6, before finding their feet and securing the prize money in the match tiebreaker. (Fosdike / Gagnon d. Colaco / Jones, 6-3, 2-6, [10-6])

Altman's 0-6 set in the Umag final sees him bagelled for the second time this year. Radivoj Daneu remains on top with a massive fourteen victims to his swinging left-handed service, whilst Sven Oxenstierna has been involved in the most 6-0 sets with a record of 12-3. Russian Gregor Gorshkov's all-or-nothing game has come up with nothing more often than not; he's been bagelled six times which is more than any one on tour.

Surprisingly, it is the lesser lights who have dominated tiebreakers. Denis Isaev of Belarus leads with way with a 6-0 record, whilst Belgian Mark Harmel has been consistent with a record of 10-2. World number one Daniel Paez Blanco has also been successful with a record of 11-3. At the other end of the spectrum, Latvian Ivars Emsis' big serve hasn't come in handy with a 0-5 record, and Croat Ivan Cesljar has also struggled at 0-6 in breakers. Akihiko Veno, however, has the worst record with 0-7 in deciders.

Haven't asked yet. I have exams over the next couple of weeks, so now isn't the time.

That's a pretty good stat there. I thought I'd had a few, but seven would put me right near the top. Shame I've little or no consistency.

Fairly disappointing to be 2-7 in tie breakers, Bowenburg can't win 3 matches in a row, it's shocking.
