Err maybe because I'm a mod?Er, why are you getting involved, kid?
And there WAS a need for that, I wouldn't let him talk to me like that in the street so why should I let him do it behind the comfort of a keyboard?
Disrespect in turn deserves disrespect.
There were a couple of abuses hurled at me by some Andy C in another thread. I had reported it then.Err maybe because I'm a mod?
I said it first time, there is no need for personal abuse like that.
Not 100% sure, but I really can't see a guy (even if he bowls at 100mph) who hasn't played any competitive cricket in 7 years making a dent.@ rivera213 .... are you 100% sure that Atul is not going to be effective?
Sorry, I have a problem with people who aren't even allowed to vote "modding" forums.Err maybe because I'm a mod?

By all means carry on what you are doing then if you want to make such a fuss about it, but don't be surprised if you get banned.Sorry, I have a problem with people who aren't even allowed to vote "modding" forums.
If I'm disrespeced, I'll do the same. I don't see how rules in real life don't apply to forums.

Nope.has anyone here seen sharma bowl, has he been on TV or anything?
So you are speculating w/o having any clue about him despite team likes RR showing confidence in him! .... Not many are going to be interested in what 'you' [who?] sees! Not 100% sure, but I really can't see a guy (even if he bowls at 100mph) who hasn't played any competitive cricket in 7 years making a dent.
The irony is, Atul is probably a nice guy. He's just associated with idiots.
in india the media are in frenzy about this cricketer cos he has been recommended by chappell who was india head coach and he din't rate sreesanth or munaf. One of the TV companys is doing a program on him and hs coachNope.
The IPL isn't exactly an exclusive tournament. There has to be 7 Indian players and 3 Under-23 players in any particular team meaning you need a very big squad. So you are speculating w/o having any clue about him despite team likes RR showing confidence in him! .... Give the dude a chance and see how he does! his performance will decide his fate and not any speculations or theories by anyone here
India are desperate for a fast bowler, a truly fast bowler. I'm not sure why since every country has a strength and weakness. India are a country who produce quality batsmen and finger spinners. Trying to find the next Bishan Bedi would be better long term for Indian cricket.in india the media are in frenzy about this cricketer cos he has been recommended by chappell who was india head coach and he din't rate sreesanth or munaf. An average IPL squad has about 20 players in total. And to be one of these from a catchment area of about 5 million needs some stuff. The IPL isn't exactly an exclusive tournament. There has to be 7 Indian players and 3 Under-23 players in any particular team meaning you need a very big squad.
If there was no age or nationality limits, he wouldn't be within a million miles of the Royals' squad and neither would the majority of Indian squad members in the IPL.
Even if a bowler like Richard Hadlee took 7 years out of the game, he wouldn't be anywhere near the bowler coming back and that's Hadlee!
It's seriously unrealistic to expect Sharma to do anything, even being a mediocre T20 player.
Sreesanth on the contrary is quite rated as a pace bowler when his head is right. Ishant Sharma and Zaheer Khan is considered to be one of the best new ball pairs in the world right now. India needs express bowlers, but pray, which team does not? England is praying desperately for it's next Flintoff. NZ for it's next Bond. Pakistan for the next Asif without the drugs....India are desperate for a fast bowler, a truly fast bowler. I'm not sure why since every country has a strength and weakness. I don't think ANYONE really rates Sreesanth of Munaf. They are in consideration for the team because there is nobody else.
RP Singh should be the No.3 seamer and have 2 spinners.

Munaf has learned to do that.If he can throw overarm then already he'd be better than Munaf Patel.
Welcome to the forums, hope you stick around.I watched the Sharma video clip and was really impressed. He looked lively in his bowling and pretty accurate to me. I bought Pont's book The Fast Bowler's Bible last year and it has been excellent, and i also went on on ehis his fast bowling courses. Awesome.
So i am positive about this guy and Sharma.
They did not do that training, but then they were extremely talented. They did not learn how to bowl fast. The mere fact that it has been seen as impossible to learn pace shows how difficult it is, or at least how you must break current trends to do so.None of the bowlers of the 70's, 80's and even into the 90's did any of that type of training.
Gym work is fine, but the best way to develop the muscles you need for bowling is to actually bowl.
And the difference between javelin throwers and bowlers is that strength is essential to throwing a javelin, it isn't necessarily important to bowling (past being fit).
Shaun Tait is very much the exception to the rule. Guys like Brett Lee, Shane Bond, Dale Steyn aren't huge men but have bowled 150kph+.
