Haha, WAC. Hopefully for your lot Wenger shows him the door and receives a nice fat cheque in return for it.

Never rated him overly. Soft **** who CBA as often as not. Has one decent season and is then flashing his knickers at any eligible European lothario.

Would love to see us move for Santa Cruz if we do get shot.

The man spends more time injured than Watto.
Would fit in well with RvP then.

Nah, fair point, tbh (at least wrt this season, played pretty much all last, didn't he?), but Adebayor's not been without his injuries either. Although in his case I prefer to view it as a lack of moral fibre on his part.

Heh, looks like the fans weren't only ones who wanted to get bladdered after that performance. Must say though, how stupidly tall must that bouncer be?

Definitely wasn't a pen in the same way as the pen at OT last week wasn't a pen. Both players got the ball. And if they hadn't both should have been sent off (but they did). Fletcher will get his card rescinded imo (Don't know on what grounds he can according to the rules, but UEFA will do it somehow)
Just heard they can't, his definitely out. It’s really tough on him, just saw the incident.

Yeah, his fitness last year was fantastic and to be fair to him, the injury he currently has was freakish. Be a great signing.

He also spent the last 2 or 3 seasons of his time at Bayern on the injury table. How do you think Hughes got him for so cheap? Bayern thought his career was over.

How true are the rumours that MU will go after Franck Ribery should young Cristiano Ronaldo dos Santos Aveiro join Real Madrid?

Manchester United deny interest in Kaka and Franck Ribery | News | The First Post

Nothing happening, apparently. I can't find the manutd.com link but I'm sure I saw something along the lines of "United deny Ribery interest" somewhere. I don't know, I wouldn't complain if they were interested at all...

EDIT: And apparently Fletch has a chance of playing - but only if the referee tells UEFA in his report that he made a mistake when he sent him off and that he should not have shown Fletcher the red card. That's apparently a very rare thing to have been done and I imagine the referee won't ask for the card to be rescinded for the sake of his own reputation. =/ A shame, really. I like Fletch a lot, and thought he and Park were deserving of playing in the final last year - at least, more than Nani was...

Arsenal striker Emmanuel Adebayor has likened Milan's alleged interest in signing him to being coveted by pop star Beyonce.

Adebayor, 25, came close to leaving Arsenal for the Rossoneri last season but in August he signed a £80,000-a-week contract to stay at Ashburton Grove.

He admitted that the lure of the San Siro was hard to resist, comparing the club to the former Destiny's Child singer.

"I am happy playing for this club and to be honest I am happy Milan, one of the legendary clubs in the world, were looking at me," Adebayor told ESPN.

"For me that must be something special. It is like a boy being told Beyonce is looking for them.
"I am quite happy with that, but the most important thing is playing for Arsenal. I am very happy here so there is no reason for me moving."

The Togo striker has scored 16 goals in an injury-hit season and is expected to start against Manchester United in the midweek Champions League semi-final first-leg at Old Trafford.

He comes out with this the day before a Champions League semi. He acts the **** all last summer and we reward him with a new deal only for him to do jog around the pitch for a whole season and leave his arse hanging in the wind for a Milan and Barca to notice it in the summer. Please sell him Arsene, he doesn't give a **** anymore. The only time this season he played anywhere near as hard as he could was when the fans booed him at the start of the season.

EDIT: Forgot the most indefensible quotes he made:

“I often speak to Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani on the phone because he is very good at French as his wife is from Morocco,” Adebayor told Italian newspaper Tuttosport.

“Galliani may not be as ***y as Beyonce, but Milan are. They have won the Champions League on seven occasions whereas Arsenal have never won it.

“Last year I was very close to signing for the Rossoneri, but then I renewed my Arsenal contract until 2012.

“For now I just want to finish the season on a high, but then we will see. My agent Stephane Courbis is in London with his Italian associate Vincenzo Morabito and they are always working day and night.”
Haa, Beyonce is so over-rated..

Tom Henning Ovrebo undoing a lot of Vimes's good work in advancing the Norwayanese cause this evening, tbh.

No fan of the Chavs, but should've had at least one penalty.

Agree with Andy Gray in that that decision was harsh but something was gonna give sooner or later!
