Cricketer Of The Year
Hughes is going to score shed loads of runs on a flat pitch against a Div 2 bowling attack that weren't great last season.

Gotta say, if you are James Harris, you would be fuming that you got left out...not great to see him replaced by a kolpak.

If that's not an injury or rest that's an absolute disgrace. Of all the mediocre **** already in the Glamorgan side they drop the one guy who has the potential to be a quality player.

According to This Du Plessis turned down a chance to play for South Africa A against Australia because he didn't want to jeopardize his Kolpak status...but it seems he might not be allowed to play next year even though he'll have 2 years left on his contract with the new rules

Massive first session for Lancs tomorrow. Get amongst them early and we might have a decent chance at the win. Let them get too many and we could find ourselves under the cosh. One big final effort from Jimmy needed.

Can't say I'm terribly bothered to see a promising young bowler left-out of a team on a stupidly flat pitch TBH. Not going to do any real good.

Yeah, because there are no stupidly flat pitches in international cricket, so he'd have no benefit at all from developing his bowling on such pitches...

Bit of a dissapointing day for Hampshire in the end after being in a really strong position with them two down early on. All three results still on but maybe the draw the most likely although will be very worried if they get any sort of lead with our batting fragility. Still a few quick wickets tomorow morning and we could still get a lead, biggest positive from reading the report is that it sounds like Tremlett is fit and bowling well.

Saj's costs us the first of many points he'll probably cost us this season.
How maddening is that :@ and to get out to Wright who had a f/c bowling average of 46.32 before this match. I would have preferred Newby to have played instead.

Justin Kemp and Graham Ford are still in South Africa due to Visa problems and given both of them are higher qualified (Tier 2) in regard immigration than du Plessis, Faf may have made a mistake by not representing South Africa A (not sure what he done to get selected anyhow…).

Dillon du Preez turned down the chance to play for the Proteas against Kenya and Bangladesh stating he didn't want to lose he's county contract but still did and the likelihood of him playing for South Africa anytime soon has disappeared.

Wonder what will happen to Ryan McLaren? He is still in South Africa with the Mumbai Indians and he may like the prospect of getting a Visa application rejected, as unlike du Plessis and du Preez, he wants to play for South Africa.

SA A didn't actually play Australia, so I'm not sure whether they are referring to the Board Presidents XI in Du Plessis' case. He certainly shou'dn't be getting selected in FC but his OD performances are decent
