Reading cricinfo it seems like he is leaving straight away, don't know if we will be able to bring anyone in but both Lumb and Benham are playing in Southampton at the moment.

Warwickshire 15-2 but for some reason Bell has not come in, can only assume he has picked up an injury, don't see why he would be batting lower than 4.

Probably decided that he's not chance at 3 if Vaughan gets any runs so he's going for 6 instead

Well he is in at number 5. 54/3 does this count as a pressure situation or will any runs today be equally dismissed? If he gets another couple of hundreds and Vaughan keeps getting out for 20 I would like to see England's argument when the pick Vaughan.

Well, Bell gets to start his innings against Balcombe, Tomlinson and Ervine...

Well to be fair Tomlinson took a lot of wickets last year, can't say much for the other two. Still Tremlett and Cork give a little bit of a sterner test.

Pffft, you could hardly call Tomlinson easy to face at the moment given the number of wickets he took last season. Why exactly is Liam Dawson bowling fourth change?

Yeah, I am not convinced that Balcombe is deserving of his place, did ok last week but if Ervine is going to bowl a reasonable amount of overs I don't really see the need for another seamer and if they are to go for one then would rather go for Billy Taylor.

Read's pretty okay, I reckon he could have done a good job for us if handled properly. He just didn't fit in with Fletcher's ideas. And he had that unfortunate incident ducking the full ball that everyone remembers.
Nah, I don't think Read's batting was ever going to be good enough at Test level. Nor, however (with hindsight) was Geraint Jones'. It's a bit of a shame James Foster wasn't in good enough nick in the First-Class game in 2003 to get in ahead of them both with Read in the ODIs.

Come to that, of course, it's a shame Stewart was hounded into retirement because everyone was so excited about Read. 8-)
