Hope Park does well for Derbyshire, used to play for the local club here. He has a good record with the bat in FC cricket just obviously tough to become a regular in a title winning side.

Durham looking good for victory.

Bleugh.

Jimmy Anderson will play 1 FC match for Lancs this season and (a) it's against Sussex and (b) he's bowling superbly. Yuck.

Anyway well done Lanky, a well-deserved win. I'm off to lick my wounds.

Derbyshire need 220 to win against Surrey, with plenty of time to get 'em. Can't help thinking that letting their last pair put on 80-odd yesterday will prove crucial here.
At least Nel is 'fit' to bowl but I don't think that will be enough for Surrey.

Great win, Prince doing a decent job so far and Du Plessis getting his highest score for Lancs.

We'll be missing Jimmy from now on but the plus side is that Saj will miss the next game as well. 2 or 3 changes for the next CC game, Anderson and Mahmood out, Newby and either Shankar/Cross/Brown in and depending on who comes in Smtih maybe out for Hogg as he seems to be out of form with the ball at the moment.

Decentish performance from Kent - pleased to see them get maximum batting points. It was unlikely that we were ever going to take 20 wickets with our bowlig attack, but Parnell is an exciting signing, even if he's unlikely to be as consistent as Clark would have been, and when we get players like Kemp, McLaren, Khan, Joseph and Cook back we should be shaping up quite nicely.

What are Northants doing? Joe Denly has bowled 15 overs for 26 runs whilst even the captain has turned his arm over and not got any tap.

There is it Rikki Clarke's century off 78 balls. Will be interesting to see if they declare soon, got a lead of over 200. Really fear for our batting lineup, need someone like Adams or Crawley to play a really solid innings.

It was always heading for a draw, Northants have been very negative though - they've scored at less than 3 an over in both innings whereas Kent were up at 4 an over for most of their knock.

Top start from Jimmy and Ashwell. I hope Smith and Horton get a fair amount of time opening the batting together as well, the former could end up being a really useful option in future years as a fourth seamer and opener.

Where is Steven Finn, I thought he was one of England's young up and coming bowlers. Is he injured, whats the deal there.

Durham halfway through Yorkshire's batting lineup with 32 overs to go. Still plenty more adept blockers left though.
