Well played Liverpool, if I'm honest (And I'm not sure you'll all beleive me) But if I was asked at the beggining of the week, whether I wanted Liverpool to beat Chelsea in europe and lose to Blackburn or to beat Blackburn In the league and lose to Chelsea in europe, I'd go for the beat Blackburn option. I think me and most the liverpool fans I know are tired of being second players in the title race and are itching for a title more than more european success.

Yeah I'd believe you, all Liverpool fans would pick the Prem over the CL this season, all Liverpool fans that I know anyway

If the squad has more quality, not just quantity. Liverpool have the biggest squad I think.
I would say it's more the other way round. liverpool's first XI is as good as any but when they have had injuries they have really struggled.

Probably not now, reckon we should put in a big threat next year though.
Heard that before. Think it was 2008. Could have been 2007, though. Or 2006. Or 2005, come to think of it. Maybe 2004. Perhaps 2003? Actually, it might have been 2002. Don't think it was 2001...

roseboy may think it's over, no other United fans I've spoken to are taking the title for granted. Liverpool have their best chance at winning the league since they actually did in 1990 - unfortunately for them it is United's hands? Can I see Liverpool winning all of their games? Quite possibly. But do i see United failing to win two of their games? Hmmm - not sure. Tipping it to go right to the bitter end though.

Yeah but beating Chelsea is a lot more likely to influence the destination of the Champions League than beating Blackburn was that of the league.

Huge test for Liverpool next- Arsenal visit Anfield on Tuesday having won their last six league games and not lost since November 22nd. United have Portsmouth at home, so I've got big hopes for that round of fixtures.

Don't think it's over but depending on how things go next round it could be.

BARNES OUT
If you guys get full points from the game in hand (against Portsmouth, I think) then I think it's done. If you only get 1 or 0 then it's still alive (unless Liverpool lose, of course.)

We'll roll over to have our bellies tickled unless Villareal knock us out. 4th's pretty much nailed on now and we're potentially still competing on two other fronts.

I don't think having nothing to play for increases the odds of a side underperforming. You'd think it might but in previous seasons it rarely has.

From the blurry memory I have of 1997, they could have won it that year as well. IIRC they could have gone top after we lost to Derby, but lost on the Sunday to Coventry. Can't remember how close that was to the end of the season, would've been about now I think.
