The Liverpool fans on here are pretty cool but we have a fair few actual scousers here at work who've been lording it about how it's their trophy and they'll walk it etc etc.

One of the best mornings at work for a long time, if only we could've made amends for last season instead of Chelsea doing it to them.

Agbonlahor plays off Heskey/Carew and Milner and Young are on the wings.
Yea. But that dont mean Gabby can't play out right, he is better than Milner on there. So Owen can slot in there quite easily.

Plus as i said, he would give the squad much needed "quality" depth.

Ji-Sung Park was terrible, as was Scholes and others, but if you've not seen him play and are going to judge him solely on that game then you're being very mislead. Park should never be labelled as "just a shirt-seller", he's proved himself better than that many times. Won United's player of the season for March, I believe.
TBF I have seen Park play a quite a few times and nor am I the only one to have called him that.

Guess you've just been unlucky in your pickings or something. No, he's not a stand-out player, but he's not supposed to be. He's a squad player that does a great job more often than not at closing down player and providing good crosses in from the wings. Pops up with the odd goal to boot. He's on par with all our other squad players and I would rather him in my team than Nani. If he sells shirts, great, but he's no Dong (who I openly admit was never going to amount to being more than a shirt-seller). It's on par with saying Anderson is only in the squad to sell United shirts in Brazil. Which, before you say it, is not why Anderson is in the squad. :p

Would rather Nani in the team against someone like Villa as his pace and better attacking qualities will prove better as they're an attacking outfit.

BARNES OUT
Not a great performance but we got an away goal and I'd back us to win by 2 at home. Not supremely confident though, obviously. Tipped us to go out in this round anyway.

has a United player ever been awful, that's the key question

Clearly not, a fairly stupid question, if you don't mind me saying so. Once they're anointed by the greatest manager, ever, ever, ever, ever EVER they clearly are incapable of being awful.

basic fact that.

Bury are annoying, still,on the plus side we could probably declare and still make the play-offs the way the other teams are choking.

Lighten up a bit hey. Every time a United player is criticised you are in here arguing the toss.

Because it's usually harsh and sometimes without basis. There're probably loads if times I agree that a player is not up to standard but I may see somthing in them that points to them being better so I defend them. I'm pretty sure a few season back I defended Fletcher and he's not been too bad this season has he? And Richardson hasn't done bad for himself at Sunderland as well.

Yeah, well of course United have good players, that's what you'd expect from the second or third best side in England. It's more the fact that whenever someone says one of your players has a bad game, you dispute it, but never really seem to say why.

Look, I like you Xav, you seem like a top guy, and everyone knows I am not short on one-eyed support for my team, just be prepared to get a little ribbing for it hey? :)

I expect ribbing but when it doesn't come off as a joke I expect to take charge at it.

And why nani wasn't awful is because he ws one of the best attackers against Villa. Played some passes which Tevez and/or someone else fluffed and ran at defenders and put in some nice crosses.

I watched that game and if Hamburg won 8-1, Citeh would have had no complaints. They were that bad and Hamburg was that dominated. So lucky to still be in the tie.
