Yeah, supposedly named after my Great (x7 or 8) Uncle James Brumby, who brought shame on the family by emigrating to Australia. With a laziness that has certainly been passed down through the generations, rather than round up his horses when he left NSW for Tasmania he just abandoned them. The legend has it that when asked whose horses the now feral herd were, an Aborginal replied "They're Brumby's" and the name stuck.Brumby is the singular.
