There's way less depth in women's cricket than in tennis. Also, tennis players are professional millionnaires with the associated coaching and ability to attract the best sportswomen. The cricketers are mainly amateurs.

Slightly off topic, but the fact that women's tennis players are paid the same as men is an absolute disgrace.
... and the fact that this is done just to show that there is no discrimination between the two genders is pathetic.

It's good to see the two strongest teams throughout the tournament get through to the final. I think it will be decided by how well our bowling goes against the NZ batting. I'm looking forward to seeing the match on TV.

At Wimbledon, the men are paid more than the women by some amount, and the difference is made up by a sports bra manufacturer iirc.

Uh, same can be said of the Professional women cricketers. I expect Mithali Raj to hit me for atleast 2 sixes every 10 balls I bowl to her.
Our 3rd form high school team (basically 13-14 year olds at an average cricketing school in Dunedin, NZ) used to play the Otago senior women's team in the Dunedin sixth grade. They usually made something between 30-50 all out. Now, the team has certainly improved since then, but that should have been extremely embarrassing for them - losing to a bunch of useful, but not brilliant, kids. I took 3-0 against them twice, and my leggies were terrible back then.

(Cue Heath chiming in to say "they still are")

Nah. I don't slag you off just for the hell of it.

If you can bowl Mr. Pink with a couple of variations then you can't be too bad.

Shame you're a **** though.

They equalised prize money in 2007.

Not sure what the sports bra manufacturers are doing with their money now. Or mine, for that matter.

Yep, going to watch the first hour and see. If it's exciting or it looks like we're on top, I might see if I can stay awake.
