Excellent from Doolan.

Never seen that back-of-the-bat shot before. I've heard some of the men talking about practicing it in the nets, KP or Symonds I think.

Can this last pair eek out another 20 runs or so, you'd have to think 190 is the minimum to be competitive here

Kudos to all our bowlers, half of the job done well.

Now to chase... should be okay, but chasing to win a world cup puts on pressure.

Congrats England, what's this now, your first World Cup final victory since '66?

Sarah Taylor really does look like a good batsman.
She does indeed. I thought she kept very well too, took a very neat stumping and some good catches when standing up. And only 19 years old too. Is she eligible for the men's team?

Yes, that stumping was a really key moment too. She was very tidy all innings.

So awesome. :D

Closer than it should have been, but was really gutsy in the end from us. Didn't help the captain being given out with such a ridiculous decision. But also NZ came back really well.

Nicki Shaw, WAG.

That game featured possibly the worst run out in the history of international cricket. Beth Morgan failing to complete a run as she was watching to see if her batting partner got home at the other end. The keeper had time to throw the ball to the non-striker's end and allow the bowler to complete the run out.

Morgan must be very releaved that Shaw and Colvin hauled England over the line. Good game for Shaw.

Interesting that Australia was the only team to beat England...

Went to their game yesterday. Was a pretty good atmosphere, with some very vocal Indian supporters. Was very interested to see the differences with the players as well. Their balcony was right next to the stands, and you could hear them encouraging the other players, as well as see them warm up, and how they prepared to go in to bat. They wandered around the stands talking to anyone, played with a high bounce ball off the balcony, and at the end of the game, walked around amongst the crowd. Very easy to get some autographs and pictures. Couldn't imagine it being more different to a men's game. Had a great day. :)

Have to say that England are very deserving champions. Played the best consistent cricket throughout the whole tournament.
