Did you watch those back foot and front foot cover drives? That on-drive off Jesse Ryder's first ball was arguably the ***iest cricket shot ever played.
Unless he retires before December, he will join a very short list of players who have played Test cricket over four separate decades.Amazing to think that Sachin has been playing international cricket for near on 20 years now too
What a player.
No reason why he couldn't go for another 5 years or more is there? Even if it's just in Test cricket? He still looks as fit as ever.Unless he retires before December, he will join a very short list of players who have played Test cricket over four separate decades.
I think he is fit, but his elbow always seems to be giving him problems. Plus, while he is still worth his place, I don't see him going past 2011. I think he'll probably use the world cup in the subcontinent as a place to retire, at the very least from ODIs, and probably from Tests too.No reason why he couldn't go for another 5 years or more is there? Indeed. 20 Years with Consistent performance and that's what makes even more special. There have been many who played cricket for 20 years but none with so much consistency and same high level performance.Amazing to think that Sachin has been playing international cricket for near on 20 years now too
What a player.
India ARE in the driving seat already. Whereas another 100-150 runs would firmly bind and gag NZ and lock them in the boot.100 run lead, good stuff. Another 100 or so runs minimum would really put India in the driving seat.
The unpredictability of the weather perhaps? Why would you declare anytime soon?
you are right ofcourse but we have to have one eye on the weather too.Just browsed cricinfo, and people are talking about declaring? No way. Bat as long as you can, until tomorrow if you can get away with it, and then give yourself about five sessions. Why would you declare anytime soon? Nothing you can accomplish by declaring today that you couldn't do by declaring tomorrow, and you'd be in a better position.
The point is moot obviously, as NZ are almost into the tail and it only takes one session. But the declaration should not even be an option right now.

What's the forecast?you are right ofcourse but we have to have one eye on the weather too.
