International Debutant
Cullinan is a bitter man. Anyway Duminy struggles against short bowling too but it doesn't stop him from making runs.Blabbering on about his poor technique and discomfort against the shorter balls.

Cullinan and Jackman especially have rubbished his technique all series so far. Cullinan said after he was dismissed for 75 in the first test that he's surprised he's ever scored runs at any level (despite scoring mountains at EVERY level) or something of the sort. Just ridiculous. How have they managed not to praise him?

I reckon the Saffers just expect him to get out because of how bad he looks, and they've gotten caught up in that.Don't forget his apparent leg-side bias despite scoring over half his runs in the off-side.
Tell ya what, it's been rare a bloke has been so quickly identified as a danger to the opposition as Hughes has to the Saffies. He's hit them well but he's survived a really stern test too, plenty of chin music coming his way. Gutsy cricketer.
I just get the feeling what elevates him above the rest is that he never takes stuff for granted. Even in his technique he's always playing through the full arc of his shots all the way through his innings. Doesn't relax or slack off. Geez he looks good.
Yup for sure and it's understandable in some ways (though not from professionals, I guess). That bloke who beats you but looks ugly doing it and you feel like you're one good ball away from knocking him over, you always hate him so much more than the smooth operator who finesses his way through his innings.I reckon the Saffers just expect him to get out because of how bad he looks, and they've gotten caught up in that.
Every time he plays a cut over the gully for four he says, "some day all of these will go to hand!" or the like.Cullinan and Jackman especially have rubbished his technique all series so far. At 208/1 I don't think it matters.South Africa tightening the screws quite well with their two most defensive bowlers on.
Maybe not but i guess it shows that they're capable of doing it.At 208/1 I don't think it matters.
#2 for the match coming up for the next great man.#38 coming up for the great man.
Anyone?Speaking of Nel, whatever happened to him. He was quite decent in 05/06 when I saw him last.
Why?Last 10 ovs 14/0 RR 1.40
Ouch. Australia should be really getting on with it.
