yup real shame because the ground looked small could have been good entertainment, thankful rugby is on tonight.

Pretty hard to look out the window and surmise that it's pissing down with rain over the entire country tbf
Thought it had been pretty well documented on here and thought it would have been pretty obvious. Not hard to find a weather forecast on the internet either.

Also noticed the NZ emerging team is playing the English Lions (rooooar). NZ making a solid start.

Interesting to note TT Davis and McClenaghan in the team, oh and N Beard.

Expecting anything of note from the team or the Lions (rooooar)

Interesting selections in the Emerging players, a veritable who's who of the domestic 'a scene'.

Interesting to read also in the herald today that 'Pinga' was 'one selectors vote' away from batting at #5 v the aussies last month. Bizarre.

Indeed.

MMR to respnd....

Actualy on a sidenote, an opener at five? That is bizaare, and is probably more what MMR was getting at, rather than his under-rating of the great Peter Ingram. :p

On another sidenote, McClennaghan and Davis should ensure the Lions make at least 800.

Nice innings by Josh Brodie. I still find it amazing that Sajid Mahmood and Liam Plunkett once formed the core of the English bowling attack.

Luke Wright got 2 wickets?
Just shows how ****ing useless Mahmood and Plunkett are.

I mean, seriously, this NZ A team is pretty damn weak. Plenty of inexperienced players in there and Mahmood sends down 10 no balls.

Stuart Batty as well. Are England's bowling stocks really this threadbare? Graham Napier would be a better bet than some of this shower of ****.

Are both teams trying to lose?

I mean, we have McClennaghan, Davis, Plunkett, Mahmood and Wright bowling for a start.

Who next?

Good to see Patton, Brodie, and De Boorder (A) get recognised for their ability though. Who is this Allen bloke?

That bowling attack of ours is terrible though, match will be a draw, no way can either side take 20 wickets.

It's not NZ A, it's the emerging players XI. New Zealand A will be made up of considerably more experienced and successful players.

Mislead by New Zealand Cricket - Welcome which has it listed as:

New Zealand A v England A - Bert Sutcliffe Oval, Lincoln Desktop Scorebox Full Scorecard

Once you click on the scorecard, the team is named appropriately as NZC Emerging Players.

No excuse for the England A team though who are neither successful or full of promise. Its gotta be a worry for England when their backup is this poor.

Other than Mark Davies, that is.

And Steve Davies, if posters here are to be believed.
