Hinds unquestionably does - he just hasn't yet done it at Test level. In fact, Smith isn't all that different either, but he unlike Hinds has had plenty of chances and I've begun to despair of him.

Hinds, though, I still very much hope that if he ever gets a run in the side he can become a good, solid Test middle-order batsman alongside Chanderpaul and Nash. And who knows, if this Darren Bravo lad is as good as everyone is saying, maybe he too will be able to join in.
Yeah, we need Gayle, Shiv and Sarwan to all click....

and Nash has potential too.

Thing is, Smith and Hinds can bat for long in Caribbean domestic cricket, where they get a long hop ever over!
But can they do it against better quality bowling?

Good going. Don't care if the track is flat, we needed the runs on the board after the recent debacle and now we have them

Interesting to see what Fidel does.
Gets 2 to keep very low in a row. Interesting.

Anyway, Owais going beautifully so far. He absolutely must not give this away. A good 150 or so here and he could be in the side for the next 5 years, he's easily good enough for that.

Here's hoping.

Nash ftw.
Would love to know if he played much club cricket in England.

His bowling is exactly the typical type that Australian batsmen bowl when they arrive to pro at a club in England and find out they need to bowl 25 overs a game.

Bowling developed in league cricket. Moderately heavy ball, accurate and capable of long spells at medium pace.

West Indian supporters - which West Indian bowlers should/could be in for Edwards and Powell?

Surprisingly West Indies has tall spinners and short quickies!

Holding was explaining the benefit of height for a quick bowler and almost all quicks in WI are kind of short...

there's no better pacers in the region, that's for sure....
Baker and Sammy are too slow for test cricket in the caribbean. I think Sammy will be good in England, but Baker needs to get some more pace.

Roach is promising, and so is McClean, and Rampaul is wrestling with injury worries.

Maybe the WI should play two spinners.
