Flintoff is the only one close to being worth his actual price. Id pay a lot for a genuine all rounder like him in a 20-20 side let alone his marketable value and everything else that he would bring to the side. Pietersen getting as much as Flintoff? Now thats a joke and a half.

Disagree. There are a lot of steals in the sub $500,000 range that are much more worth their price than Flintoff is worth his.

Yeah KF is hardly that bad. Not the best beer in India, would prefer Cobra but its better than every beer made in the US.

It is not if the owner of the Franchise has bigger ambitions, for example market the 'Kingfisher' Brand in UK.

From a cricketing POV it made no sense. I guess KP fits well in the Vijay Mallya mould of being the king of good times, and that increases his value but KP is not a very good t20 player and its annoying to see the Royal Challengers continue to pay premium value for players that are not worth their salt. Another season at the bottom of the table for them.

I was referring to Indian made beers. Not a big fan of Heineken myself, and whilst Foster's is alright I would still rate KF a bit above it. Foster's is routinely one of the cheapest beers on tap in England.

I am really not sure what the incentive behind some of these selections are. We saw last year with McGrath and Pollock going for peanuts compared to Symonds and McCullum. Didnt realize that Bopara went for as much as he did tbh, Mortaza's selection was even more bizarre. The closest thing I've heard to an explanation for either is this from cricinfo's recent article:

"Tyron Henderson is not a heavyweight player but can punch much above his weight, which is what his new team, Rajasthan, are all about; Bopara, with his UK home and Punjabi roots, is just what Kings XI Punjab want; and Mortaza, whose country is just a bus journey away from Kolkata, could almost be a local hero for the Kolkata Knight Riders."

Don't really agree with this. A lot of mass-market beers (particularly European ones) have been around for centuries, and have survived for so long partly because of their quality. In the US it might be different, because a lot of the big beers from there taste like piss so it could be worthwhile finding a small-time one. In England and Ireland you'll find the odd gem, but it's a bit like hoking through a layer of dog poo to find a five pound note.

Duminy's price is ****ing unbelievable. Surely a brain frat on the part of the Ambanis. Clarke would have had no bidders whatsover at such a price.

These Ambanis have enough money for an entire luxury apartment block, a private jet for themselves and even a flight for Dwayne Bravo on that jet. These amounts are peanuts for them.

what happen to stephen fleming, no mention at all in cricinfo teams list. Was he only signed for one year or something.
