Right so Sidebottom is so pumped up you'd think he's bowling the spell of his life, while Panesar is grunting like its the Wimbledon women's. Their bowling's so innocuous it'd have a hard time scaring Chris Read. I'm off to bed.

Sidebottom's doing okay. When he comes on to bowl with two batsmen on 70 and doesn't concede any runs it's hard to complain. Broad should be shipped back to England due to a fractured spoof and the other four should bowl all remaining overs.

But it's hard to look threatening with a ball 50 overs old with two extremely well-set batsmen. I'll put it another way- I'm not going to complain about Sidebottom's bowling while Panesar and Broad are still anywhere near the team.

Certainly a better shout than Panesar and Broad, but still looks nowhere near ready for Test cricket. Given that Broad and Panesar were picked in relation to Swann, rather than Anderson, Anderson probably should have played for Sidebottom at the very least. Sidebottom's opening spell was less threatening than Wavell Hinds.

Cricinfo says Hawkeye showed it hitting the top of leg stump. So how on earth can there be very strong evidence to overturn it?
