Crucial game this.

EDIT: Federer holds. That might have been Roddick's only opportunity.

Roddick and Safin are two of my favourite characters in tennis, but they were both wankers this tournament. Linesman and umpires were often spot on, and they had a bitch. Not a cool whinge, but a bitch. Disappointing.

Federer's too good. If Roddick had some-how won I wouldn't have minded Verdasco getting past Rafa. But with Roger in the final, I really hope Rafa wins so they can play their first hard court grand slam final.

This line sums it all up for me:

Roddick was not doing much wrong, but Federer was doing everything so much better.

Was happy to see Roddick put in a good showing this tournament, it's pretty obvious he isnt up to Federer or Nadal's class but I'd definitely say he should be challenging Djokovic, Murray, Davydenko, Simon for a position in the top 6 comfortably.

Williams sisters rack up another doubles title. Dominance.

Bhupathi and Mirza win the mixed doubles

Was a semi IIRC.

Unless I'm missing something...

Verdasco been very lucky with some net cords, but still takes the first set off Nadal the whole tournament.
Ah, bugger. Having a tough time flicking over from the cricket to the tenis tbh. How's Rafa playing though? He looked pretty off colour at times against Simon.

Verdasco's been playing some great tennis so far, but Nadal still stuck in there, but only just sometimes.

They just played an incredible point too, and Nadal winning it brought up set point. Such a big point for him to win. 1 set all now too. Has been a great match so far, hoping the quality of tennis continues.

Haha, that was the semi they just won, the final's up next. Bhupathi's in the men's doubles final as well, with Knowles from Bahrain. As if things weren't promising enough from an Indian perspective, top-seeded phenom Yuki Bhambri has a chance to take the junior men's singles title.

Holy crap did anyone else see that amazing rally just then?

Probably the best I've ever seen, Rafa brought himself back from the dead so many times there. Verdasco just laughed disbelievingly.

BARNES OUT
There's been 2 or 3 of those rallies throughout the match.

Match of the tournament so far, hope it goes to 5.

(Glad I chose to watch this instead of the cricket, which seems to have gone horribly from the very little I saw of it)

Not regretting that decision either. Another incredible rally there too. What a match.

Channel 7 are going to have fun choosing Hot Shots now.

Gah, knew I shoudln't have bothered with the cricket.

Must say though, that blonde in Verdasco's box is damn cute.
