Thoroughly enjoyable and exciting match of tennis - best womens match I've seen for a while thats for sure (having missed all but one of Dokic's matches in the tournament before tonight). Disappointing to see her beaten, but its not as though she didn't have her opportunities - failing to convert a couple of set points with Safina serving for the match in particular.

Going to be a late night in Melbourne if the Del Potro vs Federer match goes to five sets, 10 past 10 in the evening over there already isn't it?

There seriously can't be a worse scheduled sporting event in the world than the Australian Open.

didn't djokovic last game finish some where around 2.30 am in the morning
Well I'm sure everyone remembers the Hewitt vs Baghdatis match that went until 4.30 last year. Federer making light work of the first set at the moment so this match might be finished at a reasonable time after all.

Not sure what you're referring to with Dokic. Thinking you might mean Dokic failing to convert those break points. Agreed in that case, but Safina came through and played well. Only too happy with Dokic's overall performance though, definitely think she's the story of this Open. May be a bit biased though.

Don't particularly like Del Potro's top though. Much prefer sleeves tbh.

... And Federer takes the set.

Del Potro :( Watched the first half of the first set and was just about to go catch up on what was happening... Wanted Roger to win, but wanted a good match.

Roger's even money for the title after that performance. Really looking forward to the semi, Roddick-Federer's a real classic encounter. The rest of the men left must be really wishing Berdych hadn't choked now.
