...hoping Dokic wins this and we can see some half decent tennis with the next game..

Would be interesting to see if they ran the mens and womens as seperate slams and see if the women get equal money then. The gap between the quality of the two seems to be getting wider to me.

Anyway, don't mind if Dokic wins this, her opponents a bit of a munter this time.
Quality of Tennis aside, have always said that until the Women start playing 5 set matches, there's no way they deserve equal prizemoney.

Wish the match would just finish already....feel for Baghdatis, yet another late late show for him. Gonna be at least 11 when they start

But comms said apparently if Dokic loses their won't be any more Women's night matches this year.

Dokic's opponent is absolutely horrific. She squeezes the sweat out of her hair at the end of every second game and it could fill a pint glass. Her moustache rivals most American Civil War generals. She lets out a banshee yelp every time she wins a point that causes me to shudder violently. Get Baghdatis-Djokovic on there ASAP.

Ouch, that must have hurt. Impressive how quickly she got up, and won the next point.

Wow. There was some awful tennis in that match, but I really enjoyed it and it was a pretty courageous performance by Dokic.

But now I have to stay up really quite late to watch the next match.

With this victory, Dokic now faces Dinara Safina, man sister of Marat Safin.

This win goes a long way to alleviate our impending defeat in the ODI series against the Saffas. Seriously Dokic should give motivational talks to our cricket team.

...agree with this, always have, but its not a popular line i think..and then theres the thought that for some matches you would have to endure the boredom of a five setter....

... yeah..she is a tad unattractive....

With Jankovic and Ivanovic out I have to say that half of the draw is looking pretty bare, so Dokic...you never know.

The other half of the draw is looking far stronger at this point, IMO the winner will come from there.

Putting a tenner on Dokic going dowwn in straight sets to Safina. Quite similar player to Kleybanova, but chokes less.
Safina's not playing great at the moment though. Been pushed to three sets a couple of times, and has had match points against her too. That said, she is still the 3rd seed...

Djokovic just broken back in the second...now 3-4...and he's serving to get back to 4 all

4-4 it is...

BARNES OUT
The minute Roger won the third he was home.

How stiff was Berdych with hawk-eye not working on that point, which gave Federer break point in the 4th?
Yeah felt so bad for him there. It just killed his mental state that was already very fragile after those missed volleys.
