Fair one, I think you go top if you win your games in hand, Liverpool must be absolutely kicking themselves

Absolutely loved that. Nothing better than comprehensively beating Chelsea.

Except maybe beating Liverpool with a dodgy last-minute goal.

Will be an intruiging 2nd half of the season by the look at it, if for no other reason than to see if Liverpool can't mount a proper challenge to Utd. I gather from this weekend, it looks like trouble for Chelsea and 'pool, and that they'll really have to pull their fingers out if they want to beat United?

Really can't wait to see if Torres can re-capture his form from last season now that he's back on the park. Reckon Liverpool are a definite chance if he can, otherwise they've got no hope.

After only seeing the first 30 then falling asleep, I missed all the action. Caught the replay today. **** Chelski were woeful. Could've swore I heard a "Bring back Avram Grant" chant at about the 85th min.

For those who saw the match what did you think of Evans performance in the starting line (mainly want to know the neturals POV). I personally still don't think he will ever be good enough to hold down a spot in the starting XI, but he look ok yesterday.

Brilliant win. Like I said before to Corrin, United's title to lose.

Quality win, good to find the shooting boots again after a string of scrappy 1-0s. When I saw the Giggs/Fletcher central midfield axis I was a little apprehensive, especially looking at Chelsea's line-up, but they were great - Giggsy in particular rolled back the years with a fantastic display.

Two tough games coming up though - Wigan are on a fantastic run and Brucey has them playing superbly. And we always do it tough in Bolton.

Evra too. Not that it matters as long as Vidic is there. The man is an absolute machine.
Haven't watched many United games recently (mainly because I hate the ****s tbh) so I didn't realise Evra was missing too. United have a really versatile backline, O'Shea can play almost anywhere at the back and do his rep. no harm, as well as the da Silva's for each flank in waiting. Very very good.

Hey lads, I'm new to CricketWeb and this thread caught my eye. As a Chelsea fan, I must say yesterday was worse than disappointing. 3-0 and two goals were disallowed! We've gone and ****ed up our chances for the league now. Hopefully we can thrash Southend on Tuesday now.

Not English football, but did anyone see Gourcuff's goal for Bordeaux over the weekend. Caught it on Eurosport today and there's an article on goal.com about it with a video link.

Absolutely amazing goal. Pretty rubbish article though, it must be said.
Absolutely unbelievably skill, saw that goal last night and had to watch it about five times to believe it. Gourcuff is an outstanding prospect.

The article's been translated, that's why it's so poor - badly translated, at that. Not sure which language it came from, but the golden rule for translating is to make it read like a native speaker wrote it, even if you have to bend the meaning somewhat. Whoever translated that article has their head up their arse.

EDIT: Looking at it again, it's unlikely to have come from a French source text. Probably Italian - that seems to be where the site comes from.

Dean Smalley scored a cracker tonight...up to an artificial third at the moment thanks to the extra games but still consolidates our spot in the top 6

Cristiano Ronaldo dos Santos Aveiro.
Yeah congratulations to him, he is clearly a fine player and he fully deserves the award. That said he is the one player I (and I guess many others do) would like to tell him to harden the **** up.
