*Official* English Football Season 2008-2009

International Coach
Definitely - he's 20/21 I think and not a first-teamer at Stoke, having been loaned out to Wrexham previously. You'd think if he was that good he'd at least be playing first-team Premiership football by now but then I've really not seen him to judge. It's not as though we're wildly short on quality central defenders as well. The "pay-as-you-play" deal is interesting too - a club like United doesn't usually go in for that kind of deal. A lot of things about the signing not making a lot of sense to me.
Firstly, last player we signed for Stoke had been kicked out on loan to Wrexham i believe, never made it near the first team, that was Ben Foster. Cant help it if Stoke cant see decent players in their own squad

As for this guy, yeah, cant see much going for him, bit of cover at the back i suppose, cant harm. We might've seen something in him during his Antwerp days, but i'd be surprised if he appears in the prem more than twice this year.

1-0 to The Arsenal. Better to be struggling to victories against inferior teams rather than just plumb not beating them at all.

Can Villa stay this lucky for the whole season?

Can't believe those pen decisions at the end of their match against the Baggies.

Played 30 minuites today so must be close to starting, Still don't think Liverpool are going to quite have enough, they just seem to be drawing too many games like todays when they could be establising a really good lead. Still think Ferguson will be the one smiling come the end of the season.,

Most frustrating thing is that they could have had a more substantial lead if Keane/Kuyt knew how to put the ball into the back of the net. :(

So who is going to take a punt on who will be the next manager of Man City when Mark Hughes gets fired in the summer? Roberto Mancini for mine.

Alex Ferguson, I heard, he's sick to death at being persecuted at Man U.

Anyway, Wigan challenging for yrop and spurs back in the relegation zone, I am enjoying this season in the Prem, I have to say.

Yeah, it's a really interesting league this year, which shows that having a 'Big 4' isn't the kiss of death some believe it to be (and of course Arsenal currently sit outside the top 4 anyway).

God i'd forgotten how much i hate Carvalho, what a disgusting footballer. If i was reffing he'd be sent off every game, i mean there's never a minute goes by when he's not got a handful of someone shirt. Hate that part of the game, even if its Ronaldo's shirt he's pulling. Should have been a penalty to Manure

Good side, got some decent players as well. Zaki, Valencia, Figueroa and Palacios were great finds.

Yep, Bruce has done well really there.

In other news Chelsea have been totally outplayed here. Even though United have played by far the better, Chelsea's defending has not even been the standard of most schoolboys. Shocking as no doubt Alan Hansen will say.
