Hamilton. nah.
Dislike him because of his attitude and his arrogance.
Remember the whole rant from his father when he won the title 'Everyone is against him, we had to struggle and sacrifice so much to get him here'. Hands up which other drivers been on the books of a major F1 team since the age of 13? Thats whats set me off the most about him (not that i liked him before)
Basically, he's been told since the age of 13 he's the future of F1, he's had a world of training, McLaren have been geared towards him getting in the drivers seat. That makes you world champion, but it doesnt make you the best driver, and thats what Hamilton fails to distinguish. Firstly, hand any other driver a McLaren and they'll be world champion too if there given the same level of backing by McLaren that Hamilton has had. He's not outperformed everyone by pure skill, its at least 75% down to being in the better car (will give him his dues in regard to some supurb overtakes, but again, would he have tried that in a car that couldnt pull away as quick?)
Lets take his first season, he's a rookie. Yes a very talented one in the best car in the field, but still, has alot to learn. McLaren have brought in Alonso, 2 time champion in the unfashionable Renault, a worthy driver to learn from. The attitude of Hamilton towards Alonso (aided by McLaren's clear bias towards Hamilton) was utter shocking. absolute smacked of pettyness and arrogance (not least in covering his own arse at his teammates expense during the data leak investigations)
So season 2, proudly going on about how great he is and how he'll be champion. Give me that car and i'd bloody win the title (and probably wouldnt need someone else's **** up on tyres on the last lap), then the whole 'We've had such a difficult journey to get here' toss afterwards..... I'm sure the other drivers fighting to be recognised through karting, F3000 and multiple other series must've thought having a Ron Dennis sugerdaddy is so tough.
Thats the problem with Hamilton, he seems to think he's proved he is the greatest ever, when he's been handed all his success on a plate by his team. Like to see him go to Renault next season and take a good couple of wins in an uncompetative car like Alonso did, then i'd consider the whole great driver speech. He's a good driver yes, but one who needs to prove himself by racing against other drivers, not just an out of sorts Ferrari team.
