Haha, Ryder's been dropped for an alcohol related indiscretion. Poor bastard.

Surprised to see Sinclair get the recall, has he been gunning it in the Shield? Says he's going to bat at first drop, which puts paid to the Guptill at 3 idea. I suppose that makes it Guptill and McCullum opening.
Well Guptill would have batted 3 if Ryder wasnt such a dumb fat prick.

But, it will be good to see Guptill open. Hopefully we bat first.

Happy for Sinclair also. He has been killing everyone in all domestic competitions so far this season. I think he is in a better headspace than earlier in his career also...hopefully he can make a score.

FFS Ryder !! Signs this may be a problem throughout his entire career, and depending on the severity, his talented career may be cut well short :wallbash:

Doesn't look like it'll matter for tomorrow anyway. Rain has been forecast again.
Meh, just checked a few different forecasts, theres a big difference between "rain" as your suggesting and a few "scattered showers" as the forecasts suggest. Knowing Auckland at this time of year & the way Eden Park drains, It shouldn't be much of a problem tbh.

Hardly "great news", is it? Good for Mathew, maybe but there's something pretty sad about the whole thing. Sigh.
Well great news as in someone who wants to play for the Black Caps plays (Sinclair) and someone (Ryder) who obviously doesn't appreciate the responsibilities that go along with playing with your country misses out.

You would have thought Ryder would have learnt his lesson the first time.

ZOMG, best day!

I seriously never thought this would happen again.

I love Jesse Ryder. Sinclair probably took him out on the town.

Disagree wholeheartedly. Sinclair's talked enough **** over the years about ****ing off overseas to earn bigger money to show that his self-interest is his overriding concern. He's also shown none of the mental requirements to succeed at the top level.

Despite Ryder's off-field problems, his on-field returns are greater.

Therefore, wholeheartedly NOT good news (other than for Sinclair, Prince EWS and, it seems, yourself).

Sinclair has been particuarly awesome in both forms of domestic cricket this season, yes.

He's generally not very good at one day cricket (not even consistently better than just above average at domestic level, TBH) so I'd be surprised if he did anything noteworthy, but I'm stoked anyway. When's the game? Tomorrow? If it's Sunday I may actually consider going.

Haha, speak of the devil, I was gonna say, I know one man who'll be stoked with the inclusion of Sinclair :tooth:

Not going to bother to turn on talback radio tonight.

"Same old guys back in the team! We have no depth but how would I know **** because I never even look!"

"Sinclair has no hope, he's useless! Zimbabwe will destroy us when we play them!"

Not based on this I would say. The official comment was that his return to the national set up last time was obviously premature - it hardly sounds like the kind of stuff that ends careers. It looks like the board just cracking the whip again, which I'm sure people will have fun debating the merit of.

Not Terrible
Well last time he played against the Windies it went quite well.

His form is the best so far so fair enough.

-This is only because Sinclair is temping and not permanent-
