R/R is now 2.77!

That's why you can afford to take your time setting up a platform if you're not losing wickets.

Ryder goes. Silly bugger.

That said, I have to go back on McIntosh - I never thought he was a test possibility, due to being a bit in-and-out with his performances, but he's done well today and it's amazing to see a NZ batsman actually get a century.

It's just a shame it's not a real century, considering he should have been out on 10. I'm sure McIntosh will look back on that regretfully tonight and - indeed - will not consider that a century himself.

Yeah, right.

fantastic stuff from tall timmy, Jesse Ryder also looked in stirling touch, evrything was coming right out of the middle its a shame he got out. McIntosh has to stay there now and let others play around him. A couple of small Cameos from McCullum, Vettori, Franklin and Mills will set us in good stead for the remainder of the match.

I was very impressed at how fast McIntosh scored, I didn't think he had it in him. The good thing is he does know how to score big, so here's hoping to 150-200+ :)

It's what he does, at least in State cricket anyway. It'd be great if he could just bat through the next two sessions playing second fiddle to McCullum, Franklin and Vettori. Potential here for New Zealand (if they bat well) to pile on a 200 run lead by the end of the day if they keep laying well.

First century for a NZ batsmen since Ross Taylor in May.

First century for a NZ opener since Matthew Bell in January vs. Bangladesh

First century by a NZ opener against non-minnows since Stephen Fleming against England at Nottingham in 2004.

and, finally, First century by a specialist NZ opener against non-minnows since Mark Richardson at Lords in 2004.

4 and a half years.

Can anyone explain to me how the **** Powell, looking the he does when he bowls, can somehow have a bowling average in the high 40s?

Much better looking pull shot from MacIntosh there. A chanceless 100 now.

Ramdin should just enjoy his last test match for the Windies here.

Powell is a ****ing headcase. That pull-out then throw was completely deliberate. You're a pathetic human being.

More pathetic was Chris Gayle who just stood there and did nothing. I would of told Powell to go sit on the sidelines for a bit and calm down and when he is ready to bowl and win me the Test match, then he can come on.

Other then that, superb knock by McIntosh.
