Drogba getting done for throwing a coin back into the crowd.. Can't say he's any more in the wrong than the loon who threw it at him though
Hmm, really?

If he was perhaps Phil Taylor and he could throw it with unerring accuracy at the moron who threw it at him, I'd agree. Yet throwing it into a crowd of people that contain children, old people and many more, who are totally innocent, and the coin is almost certain to make contact with someone in a condensed area, is much worse.

Mind you, if the supporter gets named and shamed he will (rightly) get banned for life from the ground, and all football grounds, Drogba will just get fined a pittance (for him), and be banned for a couple of months, so I guess the authorities in this egalitarian state will be punishing the supporter more.

My thoughts exactly, the actions of Drogba himself in this situation are totally reckless and negligent, this obviously does not excuse the stupid actions of the fan who threw the coin in the first place, but to suggest that the way Drogba has acted is along the principle of "an eye for an eye" isn't at all accurate.

As Grecian says, the bloke who threw it will be banned from football forever... and given Drogba's (and Carragher's about 8 years ago) offence is worse, would be good if they were too IMO.

You ***** better tune in and watch the whites tonight tbh

I sit front row so if we score in the second half I will try and televise myself
Hope none of you ***** took me up on this, we were awful in spite of our win.

On the plus side, I did shout "Mat Mitchell, get some sleep" into the mic behind the goal so I hope that made it onto the broadcast, also I was surely captured celebrating shuker's goal and then shouting at some kids who were pissing me off whilst the mighty Shukes lay on the floor after scoring

Gambled with my Fantasy Football team this weekend...doing **** anyway so might as well. Cost myself eight points by transferring out Agbonlahor and Etherington in favour of Bent and Bentley...Spurs had better win again.

For Arsenal fans:

A fair summary?

Vela certainly has the makings of a star from what I've seen (which is admittedly very little), but I haven't seen anything of the rest on the list, so what I know about them extends only as far as what I've read in opinion pieces like this one.

Are Wilshere & Ramsey as good as they make them out to be?

It's always hard to say who'll make the grade from an early age, but Wilshere is the best of the current crop for mine. Hard to believe the boy's only 16, both in terms of physical development and maturity as a player. The writer of that article bravely resists comparing him to Chippy Brady, who all left-footed Arsenal midfielders will inevitably be sized-up against, but our Jack doesn't seem embarrassed by the comparison at this early stage. Has great vision, doesn't over complicate things, has a low centre of gravity which means he's hard to knock off the ball despite being relatively diminuative & the sort of left foot one usually calls "educated".

Hoyte also looks to have more about him as a player than his elder brother, who was solid but not quite Arsenal quality. Jay Simpson (responsible for the rather wonderful headline Oh!! Jay Simpson after Tuesday) has pace, but his radar might need a bit of fine tuning & his partner against Wigan, young Master Vela, will play in the Prem this year at some point. Like so many good players he always seems to have time on the ball and, rarer for strikers, is a very unselfish player. Will create as many as he scores.

Didn't he play in an age when an Arsenal player could pass the ball within twenty yards of a team-mate and get applause?

O'Neill's Arsenal didn't quite have the panache of Wenger's, no (although did have a similar lack of Englishmen) but weren't quite as workmanlike as we became under the late Mr Graham.

Brady was a great player by any stretch tho; one of the very few players from the British Isles to be a genuine success in Serie A.

Two Titles for Sampdoria, suggests he could play a bit. One of the more talented and cultured players I ever saw, had the technical abilities to be a success in any era. Apparently scored some of the greatest goals in Arsenal's history, but often the cameras tended not to be there when he did. I thought he was genius, almost turned me onto supporting Arse*, when I was in my formative years, thankfully he left the country, and I discovered Tony Kellow's less flashy brilliance.

I've never regretted it, honest guv:wacko:

*With my Irish ancestry, I liked the London Irish vibe of the time, too.

Kuyt! Awesome cross, and then header. Was probably unlucky to be denied by the post earlier as well. Riera is easily Liverpools best buy this season imo, has added so much more width to their attack, and can actually cross the ball.

Lol'n at Keanes miss

Surprised me how good he's been considering just how **** he was for us.

Keane's miss was unbelieveable.

Yeah, I've never really seen Riera play well over a stretch of games before either, there's no denying he's been a good buy for Liverpool though (so far, anyway).

More media bollocks to come with regards to Arsenal, a week ago they were ****e, three hours ago they were awesome, now they're ****e again.

Gutted, again.

Completes a horror eight-days, to be honest. Not helpful that the green slime and those insignificant flying sea-rats win, either:(
