Yeah I realise that, I was using him as an example of people willing to take the risk. Hargreaves doesn't have anywhere near the injury history that Saha had and with a proper rehab and off-season could and probably should be good as new, and I reckon some good clubs would be interested because he's a damn good player.
Actually his injury is something that can't be cured. It's tendinitis in his right knee IIRC. Will always cause him pain. For him to play the pain needs to be dulled and inflammation lessened. Not a career ender, just that with how he plays it's a chance he might not last for more than a few years. If he was a goalkeeper it'd be less of a problem.

Re: Saha, It's a deal by which Man Utd get money based on his apperances. Everton paid no initial fee. So, each appearance gets Man Utd money up to a certain point and then I think there's a a final bonus payment when he reaches a certain amount. That's my understanding of it.

Look, I pull aussie up when he says something stupid as the next man, but if I wanted to find out if a Tranmere player was injured, then tranmererovers.co.uk would be the first place I'd look. Don't see why it's funny

Anyhow, Shotton, 1-0, **** I love that guy

That's it in a nutshell, basically. The best thing for it is rest but even then there are no guarantees.

Look at the strife tendonitis in his elbow caused Sachin and batting isn't as high impact as running 7 or 8 miles twice a week whilst occasionally being kicked.

I imagine Bayern must be chuckling quietly to themselves. They either got very jammy or have sold United a pup.

Don't think you have to be anti-Prem to enjoy those results... :p

Liverpool badly missing Torres. Possession they've had is ridiculous.

EDIT: Speaking of ridiculous. Liverpool have world's softest pen three minutes into injury time.

Smeg.

Though at least Atlético is still top on goal difference, so Liverpool might meet someone decent in the second round. Means a decent game on telly.

Didn't watch any games tonight, a mate of mine just text me saying simply "Embarassment to football" - must have been some dive.

Whites won, that's the main thing, wem-ber-lee

Wow finally Gerrard shows some technical proficiency at something.

Diving and taking a penalty.
Agree with this, Gerrard is amongst the worst divers in the game (Sheffield United in 06/07 anyone?), and yet it's foreigners such as Ronaldo and Drogba that have the reputation, you hardly hear a mention of Gerrard's diving, despite the fact that he's as bad as the pair of them.

Typical Gerrard. Harping on in the media about how he hate diving and people that dive and he goes and does exactly that and gets a penalty.
