***Official Australia in India***

I really think that Watson's all-round game given the difficult circumstances and his lack of test experience in this series has been top class. He's bowled well, actually been one of Australia's better bowlers, and he's been consistently solid with the bat when others have struggled. Very pleased.

I was right guys, Watson's gone relatively cheaply. Hopefully Clarke can anchor with a hundred otherwise we'll be going in with deficit between 50-100. Fully expecting Haddin and White to fail here.

Edit: prophetic

I expect johnson to outscore both white and haddin.

Also expect Lee to dig in.

Did India err in declaring in the first inning? I think that they did. They thought that Australia might not be as tough based on the 2nd test to an extent. IMO, they should have looked to bat only once in the game trying to get 700 in the first inning looking at the nature of the pitch.

Actually that was a really crap shot from someone of Haddins experience, thats pissed me off somewhat.

Selfish/ careless call it what you will it was unprofessional. Yet to impress me at all at test level, this isnt a ODI FFS !!!

India should have declared earlier they wasted more than a session on personal milestones, will more than likely cost them on a very flat deck.

They did not try to up the run rate at the end just plodded along, as if playing for a draw or assuming the aussies would collapse again.

We've almost done enough here, really good to see Australians playing this sort of innings (besides Haddin), granted no one has gone on to get a really big score, but they've shown the perfect mindset of digging in and not going anywhere. It's pretty obvious we're going to be in this position again in the short term at least and it is heartening to see we can do it.

Johnson to get 50 here.
