Yeah come on, that's ridiculous.

His keeping has been fine, made a few errors in Bangalore but keeping was quite difficult there. Otherwise he's batted pretty well and made some useful contributions in this series. Who's going to replace him and do better? You don't drop someone because of one shot without an able replacement.

You don't drop someone who is yet to play at home, and has done a reasonable job in his first 2 series away. Especially when Haddin is clearly the best keeper/batsmen available, and has been so (Gilchrist aside obviously) for quite some time.

He hasn't done a reasonable job... a HS of 45 from 11 innings is what i consider poor.

This pitch has disappointed me. Maybe it's just that Australia have batted to potential. Mohali was not road. Bangalore was. But still not the type a new player like Haddin could adapt quickly to.

haha, preparations for the World Cup apparently. Just hoping the new VCA ground doesn't have an ugly stand like the Feroz Shah Kotla. The architect must have used a broken protractor or something.
What it also means is that the positive talk of Australia saving this test & hoping to go to get a seaming deck @ Nagpur has to be put on hold.

Since if its a freshly laid, deck it could well aid the Indian spinners, thus advantage India again.

I don't expect anything other than a road there. If India draws this, a road will only help them. They would settle for a 1-0 win rather than risking it for a 2-0.

His primary job is to be a wicketkeeper, and apart from the first test in India, he has done quite a good job. Batting wise, whilst his highest score may only be 45, he has passed 30 in 7 of those innings, and held a reasonable average of 30. It's also worth noting that all 11 of those innings have been played away from home, on pitches that he has previously never played on. You need to wake up and realise that we won't be seeing another Gilchrist for quite some time, and that in the meantime Haddin is the best we've got (not that "only" having Haddin is a bad thing).

Haha, Haddin suddenly becoming a scapegoat one feels.
There are a few more people in the Aussie side who should be feeling the heat in regards to their position in the side before we even start talking about Haddin...

Haddin isnt a scapegoat and his batting has been poor you can not deny that, the fact that he is capable of alot more than he is producing is the most dissapointing aspect. Do I think on paper haddin is the best option hell yes, do I however think someone else should be given a go because haddin is simply not peforming, well i think it needs to be strongly considered.

yes who else ???
Johnson's figures flatter to deceive, while Lee looks out of sorts. Hayden finally put in a good score after an abysmal couple of tests, while Clarke was in danger of cementing his role as someone who cracks under pressure, especially just before stumps.
Would be asking questions of those, senior, established and semi-established players before Haddin, someone who is in the side for his glovework first and batting second, and someone who has had two innings declared on him when he's looked in good touch and made starts, and who doesn't deserve the current crap he's getting directed at him after one bad innings.

BTW White looking quite solid atm. Nothing rash, take note brad haddin.
To be fair the aussie have as a team clearly committed to applying themselves in this innings, so far all but one have got a start, and the one that didn't was dancing down the wicket.
Broken record much? You're a deadset joke.

following that vote of confidence, I expect to see him dismissed in 3 .. 2 ..

Credit to the Aussie team, Indians must be getting frustrated, unless of course they are playing for the draw.

The fact is every one of those players has delivered at test level, haddin has not. I struggle to agree with you on Lee and Johnson..., hayden yes needed a score and to a lesser extent so did clarke, but that was widely acknowledged in the media.

Haddin puts such a cheap price on his wicket, for such an experienced player its disappointing to see.

Tbh, was referring to the number of times Aus has been jinxed by people of late.

Oz have played well and a couple of the Indian bowlers have not been great
