bye bye match..... :(

Australia to make 750 by the fifth day and then declare, just to rub it in.....

Hope we will be good enough to survive for the draw then......
Pretty pessimistic I'd say. You guys have 600+ on the board, it's unlosable from this point.

As for Australia we still 200 runs to avoid the follow on and even though these two have a partnership going it only takes a couple of deliveries considering the recent form of our middle and lower order. The key will be to get Hussey, after him the spinners can really turn on the screws on Haddin, Clarke and White.

Hayden out. High on the pad but pretty damn out, nice bowling by Sehwag.

Only thing; as if his second innings record isn't bad enough, tiring him out by bowling him a lot while Kumble's off the ground might prove costly.

EDIT: Hmmmmmm......higher than I though. Still, out.

:) I know there is a lot of cricket left but with ONLY 3 bowlers (as useless as Kumble has been at least he will make others remain relatively fresh) we are basically doomed in this game..

Probably right about India not losing but I don't see us winning either..

People are criticising Kumble but Mishra hasnt been too flash either and both are being shown up by Sehwag

Apparently Kumble has been taken to hospital so Aus will never have a better chance to grind an under-manned India into the Dehli dust

Yeah Mishra still bowls a fair few loose ones. Very good talent but Australia should be able to handle him pretty well, at least with the way the surface is now.

Sehwag has bowled very well though.

Yeah exactly. This is the sort of situation where experience counts for more than anything and why it'd have been right to pick Kumble ahead of Mishra had Harbhajan not pulled out. As usual, one performance, albeit a good one, and suddenly he's the new genius.

Ooooo, man that was close to the edge. Assuming it didn't hit! Ponting smart enough to hit his foot with the bat at the same time to confuse the umpire, what a player...

EDIT: Absolutely nothing on Snicko. Very surprising.

Mishra's been excellent for a long time. "One performance" generally means "the one performance i actually watched".

He's bowling poorly, but he's still looked a lot more likely than Kumble did to take wickets (and got Katich). That's to be expected i guess, since Kumble's a 4th-innings bowler.

EDIT: just noticed he's gone for a few though. Still, not a single bowler on either team has had even the tiniest amount of success so far.

Ponting's playing really well here, and there's plenty in the wicket right now. Hopefully he'll make a big one and put the "can't play spin in India even though he can play it everywhere else" thing to bed.
