***Official Australia in India***

Sad, really. Think the attacking nature of the morning got him.

I reckon the team plan will be similar to Sydney 2004; attack the follow-on, get as close as they can and let India bat again, use up time and set them a target which they can't get so they'll have less time to bat out for the draw. Or go for the win......

This'll be a tough period; two lefties would have been helping Aust minimise the risk against the leggies. Hope Ponting's in the mood....
You are right they ought to have some sort of a positive plan, because with 3 days left in the game Australia would be asking for trouble thinking about a draw and going into a shell right from this point, so they are doing the right thing being aggressive because that's the way they play their cricket best, but having said that very disappointing to see the way in which Katich has got out in the last two innings of his, aggression certainly doesn't come naturally to him so he should just stick to rotating the strike regularly and punishing the bad balls, its very obvious that he gets himself into trouble whenever he tries to manufacture shots.

Ridiculous. If you're going to be tactically inept you might as well compensate by batting or bowling well. It's what Ponting has done for years now.

WTF a four and the crowd is dead as dodo.Cmon a little sportsmanship pls.
Well that's nothing new with the Indian crowds, which is somewhat poor...

Ghambir banned for one match for the elbow.
The Indian media is surely gonna make a huge hue and cry about it now, and btw is Gambhir not on the field atm either??

No problem with Gambhir being banned. Watson got off way too lightly, should have been a level 2 just like Gambhir, and Katich should have been pulled up too.

Not really. The best noise I hear at a football game when someone breaks a record here in philadelphia is a deathly quiet - perhaps punctuated by a few boos. Sporting crowds are overrated.

Hate facing bowlers like Sehwag. You get the feeling he only takes wickets to annoy the opposition.

Good session that for Australia, though it would have been better had Katich survived, but its important now that Punter and Haydos knuckle down and bat well in the post lunch session.

Still think he's every bit as good as Harby nowadays and that over looked as threatening as anything Kumble has bowled this test
