The commentators are all saying the pitch is a belter and great for batting, but it looks really bad to me. It's a very dark colour and you can clearly see reflections in it, and the bounce is inconsistent. It's definitely drying out though, and our batsmen have adjusted to it nicely anyway.
I agree with the commentators. Looks like an absolute road to me, almost like a sheet of glass with the reflections, and is looking all-so-easy for the two batsmen. I haven't actually noticed much in the way of inconsistent bounce since the first few overs tbh.

I really enjoy watching Ryder bat. Plays the ball late and with soft-hands, which isn't that common for a man of his build. Shades of Darren Lehmann for mine.

Edit: And he's gone.

Flynn is bloody ridiculous. Fair enough to bat slowly when saving a test match but when your trying to push it along for a declaration to come out and hit an amazing 3 off 29 is a joke.

Yeah I thought Vettori might come in ahead of Flynn to push it along a bit.
Ewan Chatfield was looking to come in before Flynn in order to up the run rate. Maybe, given he's available in the Commentary Box, they could send out Danny Morrison. He should up the tempo a little too.

This is the worst batting by NZ I am seen in a while. Miles worse than our first innings in Chittagong, cause atleast then we had a full day to play. Really really disappointed in our mindset. Ryder let himself get bogged down, McCullum let himself get bogged down and now Flynn has done exactly the same thing, but to an even worse extent.

Though to be fair to our batsmen, we are playing the MIGHT of Bangladesh.
