Wouldn't bother with Weerappulli's primaries unless you're planning to sell him and he's close to a pop; might be worth a fielding net but only if there's no better use for it. Certainly don't stop training Mills - keep him on one bowling for at least another season or two.

I'd honestly get stamina up as soon as possible if I were you. It's made an absolutely massive difference to my team; I reckon it's the main factor in my improvement over the last two seasons. F'rinstance I'd switch Gleeson's fielding to a stam right away, same for Mills and maybe stick Knowles's second primary nets to stam when he ages (unless you're planning on keeping his double primary net for another season). Dhindsa's field could probably stand moving to stam for a bit, too. Players with the primaries yours have ought to be absolutely smashing up div IV, and I'd bet on stamina making the difference. You'll see a far more immediate effect than you will from a new trainee, that's for sure.

Hard to know with trainees - it's such a crap-shoot anyway it's almost impossible to plan. I tend to just try for bowlers, because you're more likely to get a half-decent one than you are an all-rounder, and because they fetch more than batsmen on the TM. That said, I've only ever managed to pull one trainee worth the effort, so my strategies may not be worth listening to. :-)
Cheers :) Smart, sound advice. I might switch the guys to stamina nets soon.
According to AtStumps, Gleeson and Dhindsa are close to popping in secondaries, so I'll keep them unchanged for 1-2 weeks. Will do something about Mills and Knowles though.

Sold Howland for 13.5m, no thanks to Smitteh. His wage is a bit excessive and his destructive temperament makes him too unreliable. Will try to get a batsman around exceptional and probably a batting trainee around superb-quality.

One batting net, but he's been on one bowling net for the same amount of time and has popped in that. Can't remember the exact time his batting popped. At the latest, it was week one of the current season, but pretty sure it was about this time last season. Possibly the week of the last games.

Harris to Exquisite

Liam Harris - 20 yo, BT Rating=68,034
LH Batsman, LFM Bowler, superb batting form, superb bowling form, energetic fitness.
A defensive player with woeful leadership skills and feeble experience.
Stamina: respectable Wicket Keeping: abysmal
Batting: exquisite Concentration: wonderful
Bowling: woeful Consistency: feeble
Fielding: respectable

Have dropped back to Div V after losing my play-off (sort of intentionally). Thinking of possibly expanding my stadium, getting more $$$$ from gates income so I can have a crack at a decent allrounder at some stage near the end of next season.

The other dilema I have atm is with nets. I've dropped Harris & Moloto back to 1 batting net each, which should have them at Masterful & Equisite respectively by the end of next season (my target level for them). I've replaced 1 of their batting nets with a fielding net, and given it to Kiely, whilst I replaced Moloto's keeping net for a stamina net, which also went to Kiely.

Leaving my nets situation as follows:

Harris: 1x Batting

Wayne Moloto - 21 yo, BT Rating=138,940 - 1x Batting
RH Batsman, RFM Bowler, superb batting form, superb bowling form, energetic fitness.
A destructive player with proficient leadership skills and feeble experience.
Stamina: respectable Wicket Keeping: exceptional
Batting: sensational Concentration: miraculous
Bowling: abysmal Consistency: competent
Fielding: woeful

Stefan Kiely - 17 yo, BT Rating=12,328 - 2x Bowling, 1x Fielding, 1x Stamina
LH Batsman, LM Bowler, strong batting form, superb bowling form, sublime fitness.
A steady player with abysmal leadership skills and worthless experience.
Stamina: mediocre Wicket Keeping: worthless
Batting: worthless Concentration: woeful
Bowling: strong Consistency: respectable
Fielding: worthless

Seymour Bosnich - 18 yo, BT Rating=25,826 - 2x Bowling, 1x Fielding
RH Batsman, RFM Bowler, superb batting form, superb bowling form, moderate fitness.
A destructive player with respectable leadership skills and abysmal experience.
Stamina: respectable Wicket Keeping: worthless
Batting: mediocre Concentration: mediocre
Bowling: quality Consistency: respectable
Fielding: competent

The remaining net is a batting net, any suggestions? I wasn't planning on starting a new trainee this season, as I was thinking of selling my YPs (should the be good enough) to help fund a good all-rounder, but I guess that may change.

Sounds like you're in an ideal situation to do a bit of skill-trading -- don't know how much spare cash you've got, but it's worth buying as good a 17/18yo as you can afford, training him up one level, and selling him on during the first half of next season at a good profit.

Haven't looked for a while, but Prof to Strong might net you £800k+.

I'd be tempted to hold off on Kiely's stamina net, and instead put that into your skill trading (either on that same trainee, or on a second trainee).

Just noticed I lost a million dollors this season and still a couple more weeks left without games. Going to have to sell Hodge and get a bowling trainee. Oh well Thamba offered 1.5 mil a while back.

ATM i've got about 7.5m, some of which will go to a ground upgrade.

EDIT: Expanding by 7000 seats, now have 7.2m in the bank. So yeah, I guess skill trading is the way to go. I want to get Kiely's stamina up a little bit though, as he's going to have to play for me this next season.

LOADSAMONEY! :)

In which case, I'd get two pretty good trainees, £2M+ each, and look to sell them on for £3-4M each. I guess that'd extend to rounded Proficient 17yo's or Strong 18yo's...if you can find any. Mind you, prices go crazy around season's start, so no idea what'll happen!

Hopefully you'll be able to hit that sweet spot where half a season's training gets you £1M per trainee.
