It will be your last laugh as you will be waiting that bloody longJust wait till the millers get promoted, then we'll see who has the last laugh.
I didn't say the cases themselves were similar. What I said was that West Ham weren't deducted points when they clearly should have been because it wouldn't have been fair to punish the fans for rules that were breached by people who were no longer at the club.Hmmm, really have no idea what you're on about GIMH, can't see how any of those cases are remotely similar to West Hams. Being in a totally different league n all. Also being over a totally different thing.
West Ham were punished, there was no similar precedent, and I really don't see why points had to be deducted. I wasn't aware that different ownership of West ham was a factor in the case, could be wrong though.
Oh and Sheff U fans (and I have known a few in my time), would argue that they're not exactly a small club and west ham are hardly man u, are they?
Hard to say imo, when they just play in the league cup they only have to play one off matches with nothing much to lose every few weeks. Were they to be playing 1-2 times a week for an entire season I think they would struggle to keep up without older, fitter and more experienced players around them.Where do you think Arsenal's League Cup side would finish in the Prem?
Gotta admire the way Wenger sticks with them as far as they go in this competition, even if it's all the way to the final, whereas the others from the "big four" tend to ease in a Gerrard here or a Kalou there as the thing progresses
Yeah AWTA.I didn't say the cases themselves were similar. What I said was that West Ham weren't deducted points when they clearly should have been because it wouldn't have been fair to punish the fans for rules that were breached by people who were no longer at the club.
Rotherham, Bournemouth and Luton's offences were all committed by regimes that had left the club by the time they were deducted points. This is the connection.
Whether it was Sheffield United, Manchester United or bloody Eastham Rangers that suffered because of West Ham's illegal player is a moot point, IMO. Fact is they breached rules and weren't punished in the way they clearly should have been. And as for West Ham not being a big club, well that's simply not true, sure they're not a big four side, but they get attendances between 30-40k, that's a big club in my book.
Guarantee you if it had been Wigan or Reading there'd have been deductions, no doubt at all in my mind
