Because we totally need another striker.
Well you need one who is decent.
Chris Killen, Scott McDonald or a guy who has over 30 international goals for his country (mostly against 'real' opposition) and over 200 goals in 'real' leagues. Not really a contest.

Yep, heard the exact same, does beg the question, though, as to why he didn't stick it out at Newcastle. If I was struggling for money I certainly wouldn't be dictating my working conditions to my boss.

Yes he'd be good, But I don't see what the point would be in investing in a 33 year old striker, who in 1-2 years will most likely be past it. McDonald is hardly a poor striker, he almost scored 30 goals last season, Jan VoH isn't all that bad either, and Samaras has scored 7 from 4 games. Would rather we looked into buying a young striker for the future, or a better back line.

Hope West Ham get away with not having to pay very much tbh, as the FA decided that fining them was a sufficient punishment surely it is them that Sheff Utd have the beef with, hop this gets thrown out tbh, don't have any sympathies for West Ham, but Sheff Utd are on the hate list, and this is a load of crap imo.

Independent tribunal ruled in favour of Sheff Utd, West Ham are working out if they should appeal (yes, of course imo), compensation amount hearing won't happen until the New Year anyway apparently.

Yeah, would agree that they should definitely appeal, it's a ludicrous charge anyway imo, if Sheff Utd pick up a nice pay packet from this it'll be a really ****e decision, but it wouldn't surprise me.

I far prefer yer Irons to t'Blades, but West Ham continuing being allowed to field a player they didn't own was total BS. 3rd party ownership is totally contray to the Prem's own rules. SU have a very solid case IMHO.

Normally I would agree, but the Premiership Governing body should have ruled this at the time, the fact that they knew of the dubious background surrounding Tevez and his eligibility and continued to allow him to play is the worst thing about it imo, if they had ruled he would not be allow to play any further part for the team would have meant a situation like this could pretty much have been avoided.

2-1 up against dirty Leeds.

If we win tonight I think it will be the furthest we have ever got in the League Cup.

COME ON YOU POOLS

At the time, West Ham were not docked any points because to punish the team and fans for an administration that had since moved on would not be fair.

Well it was lovely to see the same things apply to the team and fans at Luton, Rotherham and Bournemouth. 8-) @ the double standards

Agree that it is the FA who were at fault for being such pussies in the first place, but will have approximately zero sympathy for West Ham. Luton & Rotherham would both be around the top half of League Two and I don't think Bournemouth would be near the drop zone, but instead they are all marooned at the bottom of the league. Hypocrisy is alive and well in football, as bitter as it sounds it'd be kinda nice to see a big club brought to their knees by the book.

And yes, I know Leeds suffered a 15 point deduction as well, I might be mistaken but I think the rule breach there was the fault of the Bates admin and therefore no sympathy. Not an expert though

Seems a rare occurance when Rotherham don't start on minus points tbh, was actually considering going to go and see them play Southampton tonight.
