Hahahaha, such an unexpected ending to Unforgiven, I love it.

edit: Punk got horribly buried though for reasons I can't understand. I mean I know they were setting up for a feud between Orton and Punk but that would have been money for the World Title, to bury Punk like that just, I dunno, makes his whole title reign seem kinda pointless. Didn't want to see him lose it, and I wasn't much impressed going into the match because I didn't want anyone else in it to pick up the belt either. Also makes no sense having Jericho beaten within an inch of his life to then come out and somehow pick up the World Title but at the end of the day, it means we have Jericho as champion which is just awesome. Looking forward to RAW and the future for Jericho so much..
Don't consider it a burial at all tbh. Orton and Priceless (with one extra member now) costing him the chance to defend his title is a lot better than having him lose it in the ring and it now opens up two massive feud possibilites for Punk. I marked out like a mofo when Jericho got the pin. Great swerve.

Big Show's heel turn was long overdue and his taking out Taker is a great vehicle to put him over big.

And lol at them extending the clock by 15 seconds so HHH could retain. Horrific feud and a groundbreaking one for Hunter in that he's made 4 upcoming talents look like bitches all in one night. Brilliant in the sense he now gets a 13th title without having to take a 12th pinfall.

HBK v Jericho match of the night though, although the RAW scramble gives it a run for it's money definitely.

EDIT: Watching that again, Pricless and Orton destroying Punk was undeniable ownage. It sets up so many awesome possibilities for the future. Great PPV, was expecting it to be meh but this was solid, especially the RAW scramble. Only blight on it was Triple H's miraculous win with 1 second left, despite the clock being 15 seconds overtime.

I dunno I guess it is because I was just looking forward to a Punk/Orton title feud. I would assume that will still be the feud anyway. Kofi Kingston getting involved was completely random but pretty awesome.

And yeah I think the HHH result was fairly inevitable. Didn't see the time added though which is lolsworthy.

Yeah, would've been cool if it was a title feud but taking the strap off him without him having to do a job is a good idea for mine. It also gives them a lot more freedom where he can absorb a dodgy loss or two in the feud without making their champion look weak.

I quite liked how they booked the show too and tommorow's RAW is unmissable now IMO. I just hope they take advantage of the heat they've created tonight rather than waste it.

Wasn't Kofi tbh it was Afa Jr.

Also would like to say a big **** You to the WWE for making The Brian Kendrick looking like the biggest bitch in the match seeing as though he was in nearly every single one of the pinfalls

There's been a lot of talk about how Triple H doesn't rate him at all. Was disgusted at the time watching him take two swantons a swanton and a facebuster. Proper burial, but must admit laughed my balls off at Hunter's against the odds heroic victory.

Yeah, and the fact that he got more offense in than MVP means naught, doesn't it?

How did Kendrick get buried? He was interim champion and was probably the highlight of the match. So far he's achieved all he has because of Zeke on the outside, and was able to at least hold his own with the biggest wrestlers on SmackDown.

A burial would've been that he walks in, gets a Twist of Fate and then that's it.

Dude he took 4 pinfalls in 20 minutes. Although apart from HHH and maybe Hardy all the other guys were made to look like they didn't belong there.

Chris Jericho is new World Heavyweight Champion! I never, ever saw that coming and when I read the results at work I almost spat out my coffee. Got to feel a little sorry for CM Punk, but he was never pinned clean to lose the belt so he's still in a good position.

What a moment for all Jericho fans, WWE are finally giving the great man his due. Can't wait to watch Raw tomorrow.

You realise it was incredible that he was even in the match, right? He had an interim title reign and pinned Jeff Hardy cleanly, he was made to look far better than Shelton or MVP, who both did nothing at all.

Jericho as champ = unrivalled awesomeness. Whatever anyone says, taking Punk out of the match does not bury him at all. He lost his title thanks to a four-man beatdown, rather than losing it in a match. It sets up possible Punk vs Jericho, Punk vs Orton, Jericho vs Orton and Jericho vs Batista feuds, plus the continuation of HBK vs Jericho with a title in the picture. An absolute masterstroke from WWE, I will be glued to RAW tonight to see what happens.

Oh, and FWIW, Scramble matches are awesome. The gimmick worked, unquestionably.

Agreed on all counts. The Scramble matches impressed even though the concept at the start seemed a little off. Jericho with the belt is what's best for the company right now. After a Punk vs Orton feud and the conclusion of the Jericho vs Michaels feud, Jericho having the belt opens up so many opportunities. A Jericho vs Punk feud down the line is what I'm most looking forward to.

Ok...well here we go, stayed up late last night and watched Unforgiven and here's my thoughts:

ECW Scramble: thought this was quite decent actually, though I thought it was going to be pretty crap I thought every guy in this match put on a decent show, and they actually managed to make Mark Henry look good, also it struck me how much Miz has come on as a wrestler over the last year or so, quite a good match and the right man won imo.

Priceless vs Cryme Tyme: Four young guys putting on a great show here, really enjoyed this, this is the kind of match that makes you wish the E took the tag team division seriously imo, some really good spots, back and forth match, quite exciting, and the end didn't make either team look weak, good stuff.

Jericho vs HBK: Honestly...I'm a bit dissapointed with this match, personally I feel it did't live up to expectations. Didn't really showcase the huge talent of either guy. And barring the Elbow drop through the announce table I didn't feel there was much to get excited about here. At the time I was baffled why it wasn't given the ME slot either....though that later became clear.

Smackdown! Scramble: Really enjoyed this, I thought this was the best match on the card, every guy in the match gave a good show. And I don't buy this "Kendrick got pwned" attitude, sure he lost, but it was clear he was never going to win the match, and the fact that he was in the match in the first place, scored a pinfall, and generally was the highlight of this match shows how much progression he has made in the last month or two, thought he was great myself. Predictable result, but the most enjoyable match overall imo.

Big Show/Taker: was obvious one of them was going to turn on the other, had a horrible feeling that Taker was going to attack show and allign himself with Vicky for a moment, but ah well, should now provide a solid enough filler feud till the build up to WM starts again.

RAW Scramble: Pretty solid match, thought Rey provided the most entertainment, the rest of the majority seemed to be Batista delivering endless spinebusters to everyone else....but the result....MARK THE **** OUT!!! What a way to end the show!!!

Only problem I have with the Scramble is if they do this EVERY Unforgiven. Could get old quick.
Only problem I had with it was that with everyone attacking everyone for a duration of 20 minutes it was sometimes easy to forget who the "current champion" actually was.

-Yeah these guys were very good and showed that they have a lot of talent individually. Cryme Tyme especially had a lot of charisma as a team and some of their spots were really good.

-I think Jericho and Michaels have had and could have had better matches but the one we saw was so appropriate for the feud. After what's transpired there was no way we were goign to or should have seen a clinic. Michaels undoubtedly carried this match for me, his acting was incredible. The 'religious man gone too far' vs 'has the family man done enough?' facial expressions at the end were incredible. Best 'actor' in the ring since Brian Pillman for mine. I can't wait for the blowoff.

-Mysterio was fantastic in the scramble, but I was just relieved to see Batista screwed out of the tile by Jericho. Massive mark out for me, Chris has developed a bit of amean streak about himself out of the ring too so I hope he capitalises on the massive opportunity he has now.

Oh and a mate of mine who works at JB Hi-Fi recently procured an early copy of this game and was 'gobsmacked' by how good it was. Even his colleagues who aren't wrestling fans can't get enough of playing it out the back. Out this Friday, really really tempted to pick up a copy after what he told me.

I agree with all those who say that Kendrick looked really good out there in the scramble match. Kendrick got to be champion for a short amount of time and hit some amazing moves and really showcased his athletic ability. Kendrick looked really solid and played the part of the ring general until Hunter got there.

Also I don't buy that Hunter is not impressed with him, even if he isn't it's clear that Stephanie and Vince really like Brian otherwise they wouldn't have given him such a great character to run with. Give Kendrick some time and he will get more over as a heel with the crowd.

I'm picking this up on Friday, but I only have a PS2 so I'll be getting that version. The Xbox360 and PS3 versions look amazing though.

No, Kofi got involved backstage when the three of them and Orton were jumping punk
