Am I Un-Australian?

I console myself with the fact that you had to live through 1986-1989; I have absolutely no memory whatsoever of it. I just wish my memories started in 1990 rather than 1992, as I missed that short golden spell we had then.
Yes. A subtle, but very important distinction I agree.

Well, I had to live through 1984-89 ittbt. From the retirements of Lillee Chappell and Marsh up to 89 Ashes, Australian cricket (bar the 87 WC) was pretty smelly.
Yeap. England sucked 86-89, Australia sucked 84-88\89. Was more down to the premature loss of Hughes, Yallop, Alderman (temporarily) and Hogg for mine than the triple retirement mind.

Fortunately, neither have been quite that bad since then. Can't believe there's ever been a blacker period in the cricket history of either country.
You poor things. I have to live through 2007/08.:p

Dunno about un-Australian, ideally we all want to see a good contest but to support the other country is a bit far...
Jono does it all the time IIRC.
Not un-australian, but supporting another country is a little tratiorising...

Yes, I agree with morgieb. You are not 'un-Australian', but you are not a true fan of your national team too.

Bugger it. Support who you like AFAIC.

It's nowhere near as bad at the class traitors who live in the western suburbs of Sydney who support Manly or the Roosters.

Dire.

Nah, I'm actually what they call 'Anglo-Indian' (hence why I have no traditional Indian name).

That being said, even if I had no Indian heritage at all, I hardly think I'd be 'un-Australian' for not supporting the Aussie cricket team.
